"We spent two weeks in Japan, staying at several hotels and Airbnbs, and Moksa quickly became our favorite. The hotel is set on a stunning garden, and the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth. Compared to other places we stayed, Moksa offered spacious rooms with bathrooms completely separate from the showers, plus adorable, comfortable loungewear to wear around the property. We also loved the sauna and contrast therapy sessions, which were excellent value. This is absolutely a place I’d...

"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"the inn was an amazing way to add a quiet authenticity to our visit to kyoto. so peaceful. the architecture and artifacts of the building’s history continued to amaze over our 4 night stay. Ms Tano’s breakfast was one of the best meals of our trip!"

"We love this villa and enjoyed very much during our stay.
This villa is right below the philosopher's walking trail, surrounded by beautiful trees and temples. There is a garden and pond inside the villa area. As the house next to us is under renovation, we are free to walk around the lovely garden. If another villa is completed, the level of privacy might reduced. I am not sure.
The villa is super clean, tidy and well equipped. It's fully renovated and well maintained.
Mind you this...

"The hotel is superb la!!!
1. Parking very convenient next door
2. Location 100/100 to be next to Kyoto Tower, rented our Kimono there and walkable to beautiful temple and places!
3. The onsen is good too, I particularly like the one with ice neck rest, 10-20mins only.
4. BREAKFAST is the highest standard for Japanese breakfast! Has Sashimi and all options!
5. Evening supper 9-11pm Ramen is good too, hearty
Not so good part: abit tooooo crowded and packed and touristy, and the shoe area can stink quite abit tbh..

"Wonderful clean room, kind staff, and fabulous Japanese set breakfast with garden view. Great amenities and good quiet location close to the Imperial Palace."
"Room is very clean. Location is convienence. 10 mins walk to all the stores and restaurants. 8 mins to a subway stations. The problem with the hotel is “NO” drinking water in the room and the drinking water located at the dining area is limited to certain hour of the day.

"This was probably the nicest Hilton I've stayed in. The room was great, clean, modern, total black-out, well appointed. The restaurant options were great. We tried the rooftop, it was fine but the views weren't great. Definitely recommend it. "
