Rangárvallasýsla, Iceland hotel rooms at the Independent

"Property and room were brand new. Spacious and nice. Upon check-in, our room did not have bath towels but was remedied quicky. Breakfast buffet was lovely. I would suggest that hotel offers a fan in the room. Summer, although not warm an no AC is needed, it would be nice to have airflow without opening windows (which have no screen) and can be noisy outside. "

"Aurora igloo was an amazing experience. It was so quiet, the scenery was serene and one had plenty of privacy. The bed was comfortable with fluffy down comforters and a mattress warmer. The location is a short distance from landmarks like glaciers, puffins and waterfalls. A few restaurants, gas station and grocery stores are also a short drive nearby. Just up the street is Hella Caves, which was a unique tour here. "

"I cannot compliment the owners of The Garage enough for their thoughtful interior design, high quality amenities provided throughout the stay, and warm reception! The landscape and farm setup are gorgeous, we strongly recommend this as one of the nicest places on the south coast of Iceland."
