“Any hotel that is not vat registered doesn’t qualify as a hotel in my opinion ”

“This hotel provided a reasonably sized and comfortable room. The bathroom, although a bit small, was well-organized, making it convenient for guests. The breakfast was excellent value for money, offering a variety of hot food options. However, the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell that persisted throughout our entire stay of six days. I suspect it was coming from the shower curtain fabric or the sewer line. Additionally, the bathtowels were not made of cotton.”

“Mani was an excellent host, very professional and passionate about the property. We stay in the annex rooms as visit a wedding near by. Room was modern, clean and beds very comfortable. Felt very spoilt as such a personal feel to the venue. Would defiantly return if going back to the area. Am also thinking about organising a stay in the middle not house for our local football team tour for boys. Thank you mani, we really appreciate your hospitality. Many thanks Claire and Lee x”

“Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms with good ensuite facilities at a great price. Restaurant has excellent dishes at good prices and the bar serves a good range of drinks again at good prices. A Continental Breakfast is included and there is no cooked breakfast option. The only drawback is the lack of a lift and one or two floors are a bit unveven but to be expected at over 400 years old. ”

“We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. ”

“What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. They were lovely and went out of their way however: No hot water in the morning Blocked drains TV didn’t work No sanitary bin Stains on the ceiling Uncomfortable bed Thin walls Incredibly noisy but ineffective flush This could just be bad luck and I give the benefit of the doubt here. As I say, staff were super helpful and I’m sure with some investment and effort it could be great.”

“Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. ”
