롤달 목조 교회

The Roldal Stave Church was built between 1200 and 1250, and is famous for its healing crucifix still in the church. According to legend it sweats once a year on “Olsok” (July 6th after the Julian calendar), and the sweat has healing power. The church is beautifully decorated, and is still the parish church for Røldal. Guided tours during the summer season.

This was from my first backpacking experience ever. I was thoroughly unprepared with my 40+ year old 15 pound tent from my boyfriend's grandfather but it all worked out. This was someone else's nicer and lighter tent and man did they nab a great view. Despite the rain and wind, it was definitely worth it. I love this picture because it shows just how small humans can be compared to the awesome vastness of nature. #Adventure means going out of your comfort zone and I certainly did with no regrets.
