"The location of the Ridley House is outstanding - a short walk to Duval Street and the city's best attractions. Unfortunately, that means roosters waking you up at 4 am after a night of fun downtown. The happy hour is a nice touch, and the breakfast spread is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are charming, and the beds are comfortable enough. But the bathrooms need redone and the grounds leave a lot to be desired. I stayed at a much more affordable property last year, equally close to Duval, and spent a lot of time relaxing by the pools because they were so inviting. Not so here. If this property were priced more reasonably, my expectations would've been less, but for the premium price we paid, we would've had a more relaxing experience staying in one of the larger hotels."

"The room was very clean. Checking in was not pleasant. We arrived at 3:45pm (15 minutes before the 4:00pm check in time). We were told that for $150.00 more they could accommodate us with early check-in . We opted to wait the 15 minutes leaving our phone number at the front desk for a text stating our room was ready. 10 minutes later the room was available and we got a text stating so. I prepaid the room via hotels.com and knew I had only the resort fees left to pay. Knowing it was going to be around $130.00 the desk quoted double that. After producing my hotels.com receipt, she acknowledged her error. I strongly urge guests to bring receipts and closely watch their billing procedures. We will not stay there again."

"Booked here to spoil my girlfriend on her birthday and they were accommodating. Gave me a lovely room with a view right over the harbor. The room was clean and comfy. The available water bottles in the room and near the elevator were very nice for the resort fee. But the $40 valet fee I wasn't impressed with and here's why. I am a valet bellman myself, so I was excited to be on the other side of the experience. But when I pulled in, the valets didn't greet my car, they stood at their podium and talked and I was the only car there. I had to get out and walk up to them, and interrupt them. It didn't bother too much at the moment as of course I was in a great mood being on vacation and quickly told them I do what they do and am happy to be in Florida. They were nice, and I still tipped them well on all bell runs and car retrievals. But they should be approaching the car, greeting me and welcoming me first, especially at the price of valet and the hefty price of the rooms. Overall, it was great stay, just very expensive so you expect a level of customer service that matches."

"Not impressed. Staff was not very communicative, and we had horrible issues with parking. When we arrived we were texted that starting the next day we would have to move our vehicle from a parking spot on the premises to 'somewhere else' for the remainder of our stay due to a special event. We had no advanced notice that this would be happening. Unfortunately we ended up having to find a pay lot that allowed overnight parking which was not easy in Key West during Songwriter's Fest! We had to park blocks away to the tune of $40 a day...and that was the cheapest price we could find that had a parking space available. The room was average. No counter space in bathroom(small corner mounted sink) and very limited counter space in the actual bedroom. The only counter space was on nightstands which had huge lamps on them. Overall, wholly underwhelmed. Won't be staying there again."

"Front desk staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Loved the little tour of the grounds that we got when we checked in. We stayed in room SC1. The only notable issues that I had with our stay were: 1.) The bed was TERRIBLE. Seriously terrible. It was so worn that there was 2 visible dips in it. We did talk to another couple who had the same comments about the bed in their room. 2.) Room darkening drapes would be helpful on the windows in this room. The courthouse is directly across the street and they have several very bright LED lights on the front of the building that are on all night. We ended up closing the shutters along with the drapes and that helped a little. 3.) The bathroom has a window that looks out onto the balcony of the room next door. There is a mini blind on this window, but it stands away from the window about 2”. If someone would happen to be on that balcony and look towards the room, they would be able to see you sitting on the toilet. I would suggest that some frosted Contact paper be put on the bottom pane of this window to avoid that. As I previously stated, every staff member was wonderful. Eric, who is the happy hour host, was an absolute delight. His seashell windchime class was awesome. The option of 4 pools was amazing and the entire hotel grounds is absolutely beautiful."
