Very friendly service

This was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The green aea was an added bonus as I was traveling with my dog. The room was spacious with a lovely walk-in shower. I will be using this hotel again if the price is OK.

Stop over en route to England.

Great place to stay. We had a warm welcome and the restaurant food was excellent. Room very comfortable - large beds and all spotlessly clean. Ensuite bathroom and shower superb. Only thing missing was coffee/tea facilities but the Cafeteria is open all the time for that. We have stayed at lots of hotels on our journeys back and to England through Spain and France and this is the best yet by far. GS

Excellent staging point for the ferries - whether Bilbao or Santander. Basic rooms but clean an adequate. Ours had 2 fold down bunk beds so ideal for families. Food - both dinner and breakfast, are excellent and sensibly priced. We've stayed before and will stay again.

Hotel Ciudad de Burgos

This hotel is a convenient stopping over pojnt when we travel from the UK to southern Spain. There is a good area at the side of the hotel where the dogs can let off steam. However, on our last two stays there has been a lot of rubbish on the grassy area, which spoils the overall experience. Natalia on reception was top notch!

Good one night stopover to break journey

The hotel had character and was unusual interior design but pleasant . Receptionist in arrival could have been more welcoming . Rest if staff were excellent. Our room was good but Odear you could hear the people in the next rooms very clearly and when they used bathroom it was as though they were using ours so rooms could do with better sound proofing. But we had a pleasant stay and would stay again as very convenient to break our journey to Santander.

Super stopover

A little out on a limb but super gardens and whilst between motorways the hotel is well soundproofed. 15 minutes drive from beautiful Burgos and ideally positioned for motorways to travel to/from Santander. The hotel is friendly and the bedrooms finished to a super standard even down to the big white fluffy towels. Popular with coach parties (and there was a wedding when we stayed) but the hotel cater for the groups remarkably without affecting service and standard to other guests. Electric Vehicle charging available and new banks of Iberdrola stations soon to be unveiled. Another plus for us is that the hotel is dog friendly so our much loved girl could stay too.

Hotel itself is nice and clean. Rooms are way too hot and air conditioner doesnt work. Window only opens a tiny bit, so you cant get air from outside. The hotel used giant flood lights in the car park to illuminate the building which makes it impossible to sleep. If the goal of a hotel is to provide a restful sleep for guests, this one misses the mark completely.

Good location but not for us again

Very disappointed as on arrival all 6 electric vehicle charge points were out of order … Please be advised that the hotel does not put the air conditioning on until 1 June. It was explained all hotels in Burgos are the same as Burgos is a very cold city. The room temperature was 28 degrees + … and for reference not ALL hotels in Burgos have the same practice . I understand the eco friendliness / cost saving but in the same breath the temperature in May is not always the same and this year was blazing. The standard rooms are in a sorry condition so recommend upgrading to the refurbished room for a very small supplement The hotel does not have room service and the restaurant does not serve food until 8pm. During the day only coffee and cake are available for all and there is no fridge/in room refreshments. The hotel is well positioned for the motorway network as well as only 10 minutes drive in to beautiful Burgos. It is used by coach companies are their transit hotel so expect bus loads … for which reception is not equipped nor staffed for. The coach parties eat in a separate dining area for breakfast. The small breakfast room is well stocked and tables cleared efficiently. Overall the heat in the rooms would stop us staying here again as we were unable to sleep as due to the location of the hotel if you open a window it’s like sleeping on the motorway.

Great value for money

A really good hotel for the price we paid. We checked in at 2am (24 hr reception), slept for 7 hours, had a decent breakfast with a quick check out and left. I would stay here again if passing
