“We managed to park easily and as our room was ready we were allowed to check in at 1 o’clock . Very good position and so easy to get into the town centre .”

“Friendly and helpful host. Nice welcome on arrival. Small but functional room with comfy bed, decent (shared) bathroom. Adequate parking. Nice continental breakfast. Comfy lounge area with big screen TV for watching cricket highlights! Walls are very thin. Could hear the next room folks talking at 1am.”

“I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm.”

“My room was clean, floor boards not finished off under the table - big gap Door handle almost falling off- and key several attempts to check it locked - very loose handle. Noisy in other room - until 1.30 in the morning and then they got up at 6.30 am !!! Staff - friendly and welcoming - No staff any where to be found after arrived until I left the next day Had to leave key in open office area - and feel should be a post box- any one could take the key and go back into the room - I left...

“Beautiful building, spacious room, center of the city. This was a great spot, and I’m glad we stayed there! It was a hike up the stairs, so be prepared with your bags. However, the spacious room was worth the hike.”

“On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner...
