โWe loved staying at the Elder Grove! Lovely room with a comfortable bed. On the main street, but outside noise never bothered us. The location makes it very walkable around Ambleside. Nice extra touches in the room like cookies and cocoa. The 'Herdy' mugs made me smile and the toilet paper has the ouline of little dogs imprinted on it.
Breakfast had a nice selection of cold items, including homemade granola which was excellent. Made to order hot items. Andrea was very warm and welcoming.โ
โSpacious, comofrtable room. Cool in the heatwave. Good sleep. Plenty of options for meals nearby.
Parking is in public pay-car-park, but cheap rate overnight after 7pmโ
โAbsolutely amazing stay here! The staff were brilliant calling everyone by name. Breakfast was lovely and a great selection of cooked food to order. Could not have stayed anywhere better! Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

โGot a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. โ
โWe had an amazing time tucked away next to the Lake. The room was spacious with a great view and bathroom. Ample parking and a helpful host. 10/10โ
โThe he Victorian House was a delight to stay in, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were lovely.
The property is on the edge of grasmere and is very conveniently located near shops, the bus stop and cafes etc. โ
โOur room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.โ
โI really enjoy the place . If you planning to stay here I recommend this. But there is no near by shop if you came to enjoy the weather you will like it. โ

โStay was good and location was fab, but when we returned home received 4 separate parking tickets for parking in the hotel over our 2 night stay, when we were assured by a member of staff when he checked us in that he also updated the car parking system with our car details. We are now in the middle of trying to sort this out with the car parking company. This could be very off putting to book this accommodation againโ
โService is very good. We had some misunderstanding about dinner charging, but the manager, the gentleman, tackled this problem very kindly. Thank you so much. Dinner and breakfast are also delicious. I strongly recommend this hotel.โ
โSelf check instructions were clear. Room was serviced while we were out. Help via the phone was immediate when we needed it. Room clean and spacious. All very good. Only downside was that car park was a good 5-8 minute walk awayโฆ but at least there was parking as opposed to there being none. Needed window open as warm weather but that lead to noise disturbance. Of course that was due to fabulous central location - I realise you canโt have central and quiet! Iโd stay again, thank you. โ
