"Stayed here last year and rated excellent. Returned for that reason and one of the best parts is the rooms come with full air conditioning and a decent size refrigerator, is useful for keeping chilled wine and drinks. This time when I checked into room,no refrigerator. I enquired at reception and was told not all rooms had. This ,despite fact I pointed out fact that the room I booked stated a refrigerator in specification and the hotel's own website states ALL rooms have refrigerator. The attitude from the receptionist was non apologetic and basically deal with it and if not happy return next day and complain (guessing she couldn't be bothered dealing with it). I was swapped to another room next day but it was an inconvenience and soured the start of the holiday. Additionally I was charged the full rate on the first night for a room which didn't meet specification in addition to,zero apology."

"I am a female 23 years old and I was traveling with two of my friends. This place is absolutely awful to stay. The area around it is terrifying, especially for young women. I read the reviews on this hotel and they did not describe it accurately. My friends and I checked in, went into the room, (smelled like mildew and wet towel) and immediatelyd booked a new hotel. We made the choice to lose our money and go to the new hotel because it was not worth our safety. I did not get a refund but I didn’t expect to because when I booked, it said non refundable. Do not stay here if you are a women or a solo traveler. The man at the front desk was very rude and off putting, and I didn’t feel safe staying there."

"The breakfast was pretty good. It would be even better if they had fruits and some healthier food. But I am aware that this is too much to expect from a hotel at this price range. They did their best to serve me bread without glutein. The room was rather simple but it was clean and the view was awesome. I wouldn't call it luxurious, but If you are looking for a hotel with a reasonable price, right at the heart of Hamburg, you must put this one at the top of your list."
