โThis was a small hotel located in the center of St. Maximin-la-Sainte Baume. The rooms are very clean and charming. The breakfast is fantastic and free parking lots are nearby. It is a 5 minute walk to the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and about a 30-45 minute drive to the St Mary Magdalene Grotto. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and area. โ
โThe location is on a hill, away from traffic. The house is welcoming and completely remodeled. The swimming pool is heated, lounge chairs are comfortable, and a pergola is available if there is too much sun (see photo). The hosts are very friendly, and genuinely connecting to travelers. Continental breakfast is copious, and included melon de Cavaillon (the famous French version of Cantoloupe) and delicious home-made yogurt. โWhat a beautiful hotel! I did not expect this having stayed in other Best Western Hotels. The staff was super kind and the property is just beautiful with its lush garden and the beautiful poolside. Loved the food in the restaurant too and the staff was very accomodating with our special nutritional requests. We only had one challenge with the express breakfast (literally three pieces of bread) on the day of check out. We had informed the reception the day ahead but the chef seemed to be upset...

โWe had an issue with our aircon on arrival which turned out to be building wide. Carol who was a brilliant front of house changed our room twice so we had aircon. It's a quiet little village but has a couple.of lovely restaurants.
I enjoyed a dip in the pool. Unfortunately their spa was shut on Monday when we would have been able to use it.

"Everything was good except one employee who were in charge for 1st day.
I understand there is a rule for the hotel. However, even if she verified that I alreday paid for entire my hotel fee and learned it remains only taxes, she rejected to open the main gate for hotel. Yet the card reader machine didn't work for more than 10 minutes. I should have let the car outside just next to the road like that. I suggested to pay in cash but as this is not the hotel policy, she rejected again. It would be better if she took the money as a warranty and when the machine works correctly she can give it back. And for more surprise, I stayed 3 days and 4 nights, main gate was always opened except the day I arrived. So I think she was the problem. I don't know she acted like this because I am not European or she is slow naturally but it wasn't pleasant experiences ๐ฎโ๐จ
Other than that, my stays were so good.
