This hotel is one of the nicer hotels here in downtown San Jose. The staff was outstanding. The room was great. I do recommend them. The only drawback I could see was that they didn’t have but one outlet to charge my phone with, and it was in the bathroom that was the only complaint I might’ve had other than that was perfect.

Our experience at Hotel Milan was extremely disappointing. While we want to recognize that the front desk and housekeeping staff were consistently polite, professional, and genuinely tried their best to assist us, it became clear that the underlying problem is the lack of investment in maintaining the property. During our stay, we were forced to change rooms four different times because each room had serious maintenance issues. The problems included malfunctioning air conditioning, refrigerators that did not work, electronic door locks with dead batteries, broken toilets, and other basic deficiencies that made the rooms unsuitable for guests. Every time we moved, we hoped the next room would resolve the issues, but unfortunately a new set of problems appeared. Upon arrival, after seeing the poor condition of the hotel and the room assigned to us, we immediately requested a full refund because the accommodations did not match the standard we had reasonably expected. Despite the obvious maintenance deficiencies, the hotel refused to provide any refund, leaving us with no practical alternative but to remain at the property while repeatedly relocating between rooms. This experience was frustrating, stressful, and a significant disruption to what should have been a relaxing trip. The employees deserve credit for their courtesy and willingness to help, but they simply cannot compensate for the hotel’s lack of maintenance and investment. We stayed at hotel milan as a transition from our flight to san jose, to our adventures outside of the city. The staff were very kind and friendly and accommodating to our two year old son. We were particularly happy with the maintenance worker, who went above and beyond his job to make our stay comfy, especially given that we have a small child. Thank you.
