Great location, just a 5-minute walk to the beach! We really liked the water pressure in the shower, and the staff/owner were super friendly and very attentive. If you’re looking for a more affordable and comfortable place to stay near the beach, this is a great option.

I was looking for something affordable and close to the beach. This was perfect for my budget, and to enjoy the beach and the night life in the area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely I’m coming back to La posada Luna next year.

Beautiful little hotel in El Tunco beach. Basic but nice. Bed was very comfortable, nice amenities and washroom was clean and tidy. The balcony with the hammock at the back of the room facing the river was the spotlight.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel. The room had AC which was a bonus and a beautiful balcony. The staff were really friendly and it is in the perfect location. After travelling hostels for the past month this was a lovely change and we felt very comfortable here.

Location and the friendly staff make up for the lack of updated rooms. Walking distance to almost everything in El Tunco. Overall for the price and location I have no complaints and plan on staying here again if I decide to come back again.

Nice place

I stayed at room #6. It's a little hot but there's a minisplit. The place could use some improvements and renovations but nothing major. If you are not picky then it's a great place. Specially the balcony. It has a small table, two chairs and a hammock. All overlooking the river and the trees. I couldn't believe how lucky i was for getting this room. The people were nice. And the location is great. Not too close to the noise, not too far from the beach. Walking distance to shop, restaurants, and the surf breaks.

Fantastic Little Budget Hotel

This place is much nicer than the poor reviews make it seem. The rooms are basic but adequate with a good shower and nice A/C. Our room (#5) had a private terrace overlooking the river, with a small table, two chairs, and a hammock. The location is fantastic, just a short 2-3 minute walk from the main drag of El Tunco, but far enough to avoid all the noise. I'd definitely recommend Posada Luna to any budget travelers.

I stayed For 2 nights and my room was great for the price. My room did happen to be right next to the check in office on the first floor, so it felt like i could Hear everything, but people weren’t obnoxiously loud. The AC in the room worked excellent! Super close convenient location, walkable to the beach and nightlife!

Great spot, rooms felt dated, but in a charming way. Beautiful balcony and hammock, plus great common area, and reasonably easy parking. Be aware, the Expedia location pin is incorrect, Google the name of the hotel to find it. Had a bit of a hunt in the dark at night to find it, until a local pointed me in the direction. The town is quiet, but beautiful and very friendly. Food was decent, and there seemed to be one bar open late with live music if you are seeking nightlife. Amazing breakfast options, beautiful beach, and very walkable.

Seems like this place hasn’t had a recent review in a while. long story short, I would stay again, The 24/hr front desk reception is super friendly. super walkable from the main night life of El Tunco. Check it Out! A/C, cold water showers, private deck backyard.
