We love staying at Desert Air Motel. They welcomed our road rally for the third year in a row. We’ll continue to head back to D.A.M. each year.

Older hotel but clean and comfortable bed. The manager that checked us in was very nice and gave us bananas and snacks when we checked in. Would stay there again next time passing through the area. Very affordable.

Although I had booked a Standard Room, 1 queen bed, I was placed in a petite queen. I must congratulate Hotel Zsa Zsa in providing me with the smallest hotel room that I have ever occupied. That includes many hotel rooms in Italy which has notoriously small rooms. If you have the slightest problem ...

My only quibble would be that with no housekeeping planned for my stay, a toilet brush and cleaner would be a good idea. Also, there were no pans despite the provision of the hob. Otherwise, it was great. A good location and friendly, helpful staff.

After visiting Terrell County Visitor Center, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Sanderson. While you're in the area, wander around the natural setting.

Sanderson is a gem in the hills. It has slowed down a lot but has great people and a great story.
