The hotel was charming and each member of the staff was friendly and welcoming. Loved being able to walk everywhere, sip a cocktail in the bar and sit and relax on the porch.

Awesome location, right off the plaza. I'm sure parrt of it's charm is the age. Unfortunately its in need of some maintenance. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Kudos to the cleaning staff . Very comfortable bed with nice bedding.

Hotel de Chimayo is an excellent choice for anyone wishing to stay near the Plaza. You can walk everywhere! Room was spacious and quiet and the bed was so comfortable! Morning coffee and tea in the lobby and a convenient parking garage in basement. I’d stay here again!

Hotel Chimayo is a unique property with lots of character close to the Santa Fe Plaza. It was a perfect place to stay!

OK place to stay nothing special the real wood fireplaces are more of an unwanted odor for the entire property, just not something my wife and I really liked. Great location in town the best part also good parking garage with easy access to hotel rooms

Emilio welcomed me with a text, helped us make dinner reservations, called on bell hop to carry our suitcases up the stairs, sent to have our fireplace lit, and provided us a nice treat at the end of a long day. What a gem! Great staff throughout the day and evenings, great toiletries and amenities. Thank you!

Convenient location. The hotel is clean. Not much beside that, no refrigerator, no microwave, small bath room, bad ventilation in the bathroom, bad insulation.

This hotel is gorgeous inside and out, and we loved being walking distance from the plaza and Loretto Chapel. The parking garage is very small and on an alley that mafe my wife feel unsafe. The A/C system needs updating because they can only have heat OR cool running across the whole property. If you want to cool down and they are running heat, you have to turn the A/C OFF and request a fan from the front desk.

The location is excellent, where it’s right next to the plaza with all the shops. The parking is a drawback with not enough parking space available for its guests.

Hotel was in a good location.. AC didn’t work, bathtub drain was broken. Beds are way too small. First night we were there, we asked if there was a restaurant they would suggest - something suitable for kids. It was recommended we try their in-house restaurant upstairs. No kids menu and it easily would have been 300 for all six of us. Oh and parking in the garage is difficult because there isn’t enough spaces. Overall, the hotel is fine. Our experience just wasn’t great.

The Hotel Chimayo is a wonderful small hotel right off the Plaza. I have stayed there many times over the years. The staff is always great, the rooms clean and well appointed, and the location can't be beat.

Mind BLOWING Customer Service
I will be writing reviews on every possible social media platform about how FANTASTIC this experience was. I was blown away by the level of customer service something that seems to be a lost art elsewhere, was kept alive at this hotel. The second I walked in to check in and was greeted by Emilio (the most amazing desk person I have EVER encountered) to Carlos the maintenance man, who light our fireplace fire each day (along with all his other duties), we were blown away by the way we were made to feel so welcome & that they all honestly CARED that we had a great stay. I brought my best friend to Santa Fe for her birthday. When I was checking in, Emilio asked if I was there for a special occasion & I told him it was my friend's birthday. He asked if the hotel could do something to make this special for us and I was honestly lost for words. The day of her birthday, Emilio had delivered to the room, the loveliest surprise of champagne, chocolates & even a balloon for her! Our Suite was AMAZING & I am now forever spoiled! When we asked for suggestions of a local bar, we were pointed to the on site bar & specifically Shawn, the bartender. The sincere warmth & fun we experienced in this little bar was the best bar experience we could have hoped for. The entire staff of this Hotel appears happy, eager to please & seem to love their jobs. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in Santa Fe again!

The only thing going for this hotel is its location. We had a very bad experience with one of the night clerks. Who was rude, condescending and inappropriate. The rooms are very rustic with no view at all.

This is a quaint property that is conveniently located. The room itself was bit stiff, dated and with a small bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the property had underground parking. We had an issue with barking dogs for 4 hours in the room next to ours, which staff was unable to address.

The staff at Hotel Chimayo was welcoming and efficient. We had assistance with our luggage and a person was sent quickly to light the fire in our hearth when we requested it. The dining option in the hotel offered nice choices and the foods were delicious and presented well. I would stay there again if travels took me to Santa Fe. The bathroom was small by today's standards and a little 'tired.' Other than that, our stay was most enjoyable.

Best Place to stay in Santa Fe
Hotel Chimayo is the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe. Beautiful Santa Fe style rooms with fireplace, excellent location to walk anywhere downtown, most accommodating staff and secure parking. Nothing better in Santa Fe for location and accommodations.
