Great hotel in am excellent location

This hotel is in a great location near to shops, bars & great restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean with good facilties. There is 1 English speaking chap on reception & for everything else use google translate. Breakfast is basic but great coffee & decent continental selection & eggs. For the price, this hotel is a great choice & couldn't fault it. Would 100% recommend & book again.

The hotel is slightly dated but seems most places are there. The service was amazing and everyone at the front desk were helpful and very kind. Is this place the ritz? No, but it’s clean, great location, amazing staff, and I will definitely come back. Also rooms are very very large.

Nice Stay

While traveling to São Paulo in July, we stayed at the Matiz Manhattan. Our accommodations were almost perfect. The bed needed additional blankets and were provided quickly. We are not used to not having wash cloths but didn't complain. The front staff was extremely helpful. Along with the room was a very nice breakfast. Would recommend staying here to any and all travelers.

Used to be much better in the past

I stayed at Matiz several times but will not return after the latest experience. Starting with unfriendly staff at the reception and breakfast that was so unmotivated and unfriendly that I started to believe something must really go wrong in that place. They gave the impression as they would really hate their job, so we didn't dare to ask for anything as they would anyway not do it. Room was dirty, especially the bathroom and the kitchen, everything was old and abused. Bed was very small and uncomfy. No stairs, so even for just one floor yo have to use an old and unsafe elevator. Breakfast limited with some hard bread they were probably serving during the entire week. Some cheap butter and jam, dirty, you could really see the lack of hygiene, so we were afraid of eating there. Very strange experience compared to how it used to be in the past.

Amo o Matiz Manhattan! Já é a 3ª vez que me hospedo, para viagens curtas de 5 dias aproximadamente e me atende de forma muito satisfatória ! A cama é muito confortável, limpeza impecável e o atendimento é muito gentil e agradável ! Já utilizei a garagem em 2 dessas hospedagens e foi bastante conveniente ! A localização é um ponto muito alto dessa acomodação ! Agora, se você definitivamente gosta de um bom café da manhã, aqui não é o lugar ideal. Posso afirmar sem medo de errar que o café da manhã é péssimo, no entanto como eu não costumo tomar café da manhã, então para mim não faz diferença ! Avalie se para você é um ponto importante! No mais, voltarei várias vezes e recomendo a hospedagem!

Melhorem o café da manhã!

O hotel é muito bom: recepção rápida, quarto muito amplo e muito agradável. Porém o que pecou demais foi o café da manhã. Tinha poucas opções, o suco está aguado e faltava os ovos mexidos (que todo hotel tem). Então oferecer uma experiência premium, mas pecar no café foi ruim demais.
