This is a very charming hotel, great location in Savannah. It may be showing a little wear, but the price was excellent, it exudes charm, the staff were excellent. I would both stay there again and recommend to others.

This is in a great spot. Definitely an older hotel with some of the quirks of one, but lots of character and the staff were very helpful. Location is by far the best part, but it's clean and on a quieter square so you are near everything without too much noise. We had a hard time controlling the temp in the room, but aside from that have no complaints!

Planters Inn is agreat location for exploring Savannah. There are several great dining and drink options within a few blocks. The tram that loops around Savannah picks up 1 block away.

Superb location next to the Pink House restaurant. The breakfast restaurant Quinn’s they sent me to was not good. Hotel staff were gentlemen.

Disliked the many homeless sleeping and depositing trash in Reynolds Square. They didn’t bother or beg, but by far this was the trashiest square we went to. We walked to 14 of them. The hotel was a joy and staff helpful. Very enjoyable.

We only spent one night, the parking was easy and staff was fantastic. The room was great. Bed was very comfortable with tons of pillows. Will definitely come back and highly recommend!

I'm an easy man to please. Reading some of the other complaints, most were about dingy rooms and lack of advertised services. I don't have a problem with that. I thought the room was okay, in a spartan kind of way. The price was pretty steep but the location of the hotel to River Street would explain that. My issue was it's location to the parking garage next door. I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night. On both nights I was awakened to revelers at 2am in the garage. Savannah is a partying town, I get that. But your hotel room should be an oasis from that. Apparently the garage is a favorite party spot. No doubt because of the echo factor it has that is only rivaled by Mammoth Cave. I was awakened both nights but Saturday was the worst. On Saturday at 2am, I woke up to people laughing and carrying on. I figured that they would make their way to their cars and drive away, wrong!! The cacophony of their partying only got worse. It became obvious that they were doing there very best to be as obnoxious as humanly possible. This included screaming and blowing their car horns till after 4 in the morning. These weren't kids by the way. You could tell by the tenor of their voices that these were adults, and I use that term loosely. I feel bad for the hotel. I suspect that they have to put up with this on a regular basis. For you travelers, I would suggest that you stay well clear of this hotel, especially on the weekends.

Mostly what we disliked was the property was adjacent to one of Savannah's many town squares that had many homeless laying about, then discovered situated across from a homeless shelter/kitchen.

Lovely property next to a beautiful shaded square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Valet or self parking. Within walking distance to many tourist sites and restaurants, and had some of the best coffee I had on my vacation :) Room was very clean, though would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Peeling paint in closet and bathroom was concerning. And while guests could put food in a common refrigerator, it would have been nice to have a room refrigerator.

Charming traditional property in a fabulous location. Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely room and comfortable lounge for relaxing. Only criticism would be no breakfast facility, just coffee in the lobby. I assume there’s no space for a dining room, but a modest breakfast bar in the lobby would be nice. Otherwise a great stay.

Lovely old fashioned property. Great location for walking around centre. We had VIP valet parking included in rate, which worked well. Bedroom had 4 poster bed. Looked good although it is an older style hotel so could be updated. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist.

Only minor issue is that they don't have mini fridges nor vending. They DID however offer free bags of ice to utilize the nice-sized ice buckets in the room. Staff was very friendly, and they had a pianist in the lobby in the weekend evenings...how lovely.
