“It was an ok stay. Very basic and a bit tired looking but clean enough if you don’t inspect the stained mattress and marks on the walls. Plus points helpful staff and free parking and next to a service station with an express M&S, Macdonalds, Greggs etc. plenty of electric charging on site.”

“It’s a nice vonvenient place to stay, either a mice bar, good food and friendly staff. The breakfasts are really exceptional when you can literally pick what you want and I loved thee choice of eggs. However the rooms are the let down. Somewhat dates, shower with curtains, lovely old sash windows but wobbly and loose which rattle in the wind. Beds are comfortable though and the rooms cleaned every day. It’s a nice older style hotel, pretty comfy, great staff and breakfasts but just a tad dated.”

“Lovely little place in a really peaceful setting. It's also great to see a company embrace sustainability as well. However, this is also their downfall as well! Unfortunately we were booked in during the hottest weekend of the year so far over May bank holiday and the only room that had proper aircon was reception! The rest of the place was like an oven. “For the price paid it was decent enough and functional room for an overnight stay during work trip. Obviously the hotel could do with a bit of renovation and sprucing up. But they made up for it with the lovely staff. Definitely recommend for short stays, their Chai is first class!!”

“Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)”

Unfortunately our twin room was like an outbuilding in the car park and very cold (radiators didn’t work) with a lamp not working and a spot lamp flashing on and off. Reported to staff and they put an electric radiator in the room which took the chill off. They said they’d have to get an electrician out re the lighting problems.
