"Lovely place, beautiful food and a really nice room and ambience. But what really made this place was the wonderful warm staff.
The lady on arrival was really welcoming, the girl looking after us for food was very attentive and the gentleman who welcomed us at breakfast was delightful.
Would highly recommend and will be back in future, thankyou so much!"
"Don’t be put off by lack of reviews on Expedia for this property. This is an absolutely gem of an apartment. It truly is a home from home and is well equipped. The sea views from the main living area are fantastic. Parking permit was easy to use for street parking. We all had a fantastic holiday even our grumpy teenager. Would highly recommend. Will definitely book again."

"A fantastic hotel in a great location. Easy to find with ample car parking at the rear. Warm welcome at reception and friendly efficient service. Room was immaculate and very well maintained. Great night’s sleep, quiet location and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fab, staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and would happily stay there again. "The hotel was emaculate it was newly refurbished it was the best hotel i have stayed in the staff were extremely polite and really helpful the breakfast was fantastic well worth the money i would recommend this hotel to anyone if you want a good experience in Scarborough this is the place to go Trust me you won't regret it i will be going back again thank you to all the staff at Clarence garden hotel for one of the best experiences i have ever had"
"We enjoyed a great 5 days at The Sands. The accommodation was spacious enough for the three of us (2 adults and a toddler). The kitchen is well equipped for self catering but there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways within close proximity. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. It is a fantastic location, with the gorgeous beach just a few steps away. Despite staying in peak season, it was really quiet at night and the livelier South Bay can be reached by bus or foot (if you like a walk). There are lots of toddler friendly points of interest near by such as the North Bay Railway, Splash park and Sealife Centre."
