To Seddon’s west, you’ll find the town of Parndana and the fantastic Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. Dozens of animals inhabit this pretty 50-acre (20-hectare) plot. Learn about Australia’s native wildlife at the park’s daily presentations. Don’t miss the chance to feed kangaroos and wallabies from your hand or cuddle a koala. You’ll also see penguins, wombats, cassowaries, echidnas, reptiles and birds. The park has an on-site café and is a great daytrip destination for the family.
Spend the night in a country cottage or a cabin on the edge of the woods in Parndana. The small town is centrally located when exploring Seddon’s sights and has a cozy pub and a grocery store.
Seddon is situated in the heart of Kangaroo Island. It is a 20-minute drive southwest from Kingscote Airport and a 1-hour drive west from the ferry terminal in Penneshaw.
