"Everything was great except there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom or shower. This is the second time I have stayed here and I will definitely return."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and while the property itself is very clean and well kept, my experience with the front desk left a lot to be desired. When I asked for a copy of the document I signed at check‑in, the receptionist told me to come back later because another guest had arrived and he wanted to serve them first. At checkout, he then claimed I couldn’t receive a copy because I booked online — something I’ve never had an issue with at other hotels. It felt dismissive and dishonest, and I did not appreciate being brushed off simply so he could move on to another guest. Breakfast was also disappointing. The only hot item available was eggs — no potatoes, bacon, or sausage, which are standard offerings at most hotels. Overall, the cleanliness was great, but the customer service and breakfast options need improvement."

"The reason we love this property is the setting in a historic building in an historic neighbourhood. Lots of charm and character. Outdoor seating in the waterfront rooms makes for an enjoyable stay. A quick walk to the City Cruises. Was happy to see they had refreshed the waterfront rooms. I would like to see them continue replacing the old muskoka chairs and tables as some are in need of repair. We will be back."
