"I absolutely loved this property! I didn’t want to leave!! Location was perfect. Bull frogs, birds even the light rain was relaxing. We stayed in the Mountain Laurel Yurt and it was amazing. Clean, upgraded, very luxurious! We had two elk wander in to drink from the pond and they were so beautiful! I highly recommend this property and can’t wait to return!"

"Not the worst, but definitely not seeing its maximum potential. Needs meticulous attention to details instead of slapping on some paint and wallboard. The sink was stopped up and needs to be replaced with something more appealing. Only one small trash can in the unit and not in the bathroom. No bath mat to prevent stepping onto wet tile floor from shower causing me to fall. We stayed 2 nights but was only given 2 towels and no housekeeping for our entire stay. Doors slammed, dogs barked, and constant loud activity outside during all hours of the night. We don’t go to the casino so it was not very peaceful and very unsettling. The grounds were nice around the cabins, but the rockers on the very small motel stoop only provided a place for others to sit and smoke. This was advertised as a non-smoking property but there were ashtrays outside every room. Ice machine hasn’t worked for years we were told. Good location, but signage needs to be rethought. Main sign is cluttered and confusing. Mac’s? Qualla Motel? Teepee Village? Needs relocated. Remove the rusty, old, faded, crumbling relics of days past. Nostalgia is overshadowed by neglect. First impression of front office is repelling but the lady was very nice, so we took a chance. Probably won’t stay here again."
