Beautiful! Relaxing vacation! A bit pricey, to be expected. Barbecue ($85) was beautifully set up. Menu was disappointing. Past reviews cited appetizers like lobster rolls and fritto misto. These were absent. $4 for a small lemonade which was mostly ice, REALLY!

Best resort in the Hamptons / Long Island area! My family and I loved this resort before and after renovations- which are incredible. The staff is outstandingly well trained and so kind. We come to Shelter Island / North Fork annually so we love that The Pridwin has been renewed.

Beautifully designed property with several unique and inviting spaces. Very comfortable room and bed and we took advantage of the complimentary use of the kayaks and paddle boards and easy access to the beach. The staff at the front desk and the pool bar were extremely friendly and laid back. Lovely hotel.

Exceptional place on a special island

A special place run by a phenomenal hospital group. Best room cleaning I've ever seen as well as management and front desk teams.

The Pridwin is a beautiful property with a stunning view and old New England, Americana historic vibe. It is a quintessential experience if you want to have quiet yet convenience to both the north and south forks. The ferry is quick and the island is beautiful and quiet if you go during off season. Lovely long weekend trip for me and my husband. Highly recommend.

The Pridwin is amazing for a shelter island getaway. The property is gorgeous and the access to the beach and pool, kayaking and pickleball courts leave nothing to be desired. The staff is wonderful and so accommodating. Don’t miss the summer Wednesday bbqs!

We had an absolutely enchanting long weekend at the Pridwin. This beautifully appointed property exudes timeless elegance, with thoughtful touches that made us feel truly pampered from the moment the staff reached out to us long before our stay. The complimentary breakfast, in-room snacks and drinks, outdoor fire pits with rocking chairs, and cozy nights spent by the fireplace with bar service turned our visit into a heartfelt home away from home — far warmer and more inviting than any sterile hotel experience. The outdoor heated pool was simply divine, backed by attentive and friendly service that made every swim a pleasure. Shelter Island offers the perfect backdrop for adventure and relaxation — exploring nearby vineyards to the north, or heading south by ferry to Sag Harbor and the broader Hamptons — all while knowing you can retreat each evening to this quiet, serene haven. A special shoutout to Tony, the bartender, whose genuine warmth and friendliness made us feel so welcome every time we crossed paths. Not to mention, he crafts exquisite cocktails and martinis that truly elevated our evenings.

The hotel and the grounds are gorgeous. There are so many lovely places to sit and admire the views. All staff were amazing. All were cordial, prompt and attentive. From check-in to bell men to pool staff to dock boys, bartenders, housekeeping, waitresses and all staff were fantastic. Whoever does the hiring for this hotel should be commended! We would love to return.

Book it! Worth it

If you are on the fence about The Pridwin or even Shelter Island I hope this reviews tips you to book. My family and I had a fantastic stay. The property is amazing, Shelter Island is great, the amenities are top notch and the overall setting is spectacular but what made it truly special is the service. They could not have been kinder to my daughter and us. They have really outdone on making you feel welcome.

The hotel is fabulous. The setting by far the best. The vibe incredible. Loved the boat ride, live music, the food is delicious. Unfortunately we stayed in the main house this time,it is quite noisy as the installation needs to be increased. The manager of the dining room is nasty and has an angry presence. Other than him your staff is lovely

Recently renovated. Keeps vintage decor around. The concierge promptly addresses customer questions via email. Very relaxing outdoor terraces. Food in general can be improved. Katherine, Loren, and David were amazing. Big shout out. I'm sure I left someone out. Staff is awesome.
