Juuri rempattu

Yllättävän hyvätasoinen majoitus kylässä, jossa ei ole mitään nähtävää ja koettavaa. Hotelli sijaitsee toisen hotellin päällä, kulku kujalta hissillä. Rempattu suht hiljattain ja suomalaisenkin mittapuun mukaan siististi, mikäli ei oteta lukuun työnjälkeä. Tilava huone, toimiva ilmastointi ja muutenkin kaikki hyvin. Aamiaspuhvetti hyvä, huono suomalainen Scandic häviää tälle. Suosittelen jos tähän tuppukylään jostain syystä eksyy, silloinkin yksi yö piisaa.

Mixed Experience

The room itself was nice but the elevator was broken and we were in 7th floor. The stairway has no working lights and was full of cigarette nuts, trash, and exposed wires. The window in the bathroom was without a curtain or blinds and looked directly down on their dining patio. We had to improvise a curtain so that we could shower or dress in the bathroom without exposing ourselves to patrons of the restaurant.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the staff are very kind and friendly — especially the restaurant staff! The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The only issue is the elevator 😅 It’s out of order and makes scary, loud noises inside — quite terrifying. There’s another elevator inside the building, but it’s closed, and there is also one from outside that only goes up to the reception level (half floor). If we ignore the elevator — and we should — everything else about the hotel is so good that this one flaw really doesn’t matter much. But still, for safety reasons, please fix the elevator 🙏🙂 Overall, it was a fantastic stay! Otelin konumu mükemmel, çalışanlar çok kibar ve çok iyiler — özellikle restoran çalışanları! Odalar tertemiz ve oldukça konforlu. Tek sıkıntı asansör 😅 Asansör hem bozuk hem de içeride korkunç sesler çıkarıyor, gerçekten ürkütücü. İçerde bir asansör daha var ama kapalı. Dışarıdan gelen bir başka asansör de var ama sadece resepsiyona kadar (0,5 kat) çıkıyor. Eğer asansörü görmezden gelirsek — ki bence görmezden gelinmeli — otelin diğer tüm olumlu yönleri bu kusuru fazlasıyla telafi ediyor. Ama tabii güvenlik açısından da önemli bir konu, lütfen asansörü tamir edin 🙏🙂 Genel olarak harika bir konaklama deneyimiydi!

Shkoder is an amazing city and Hotel Chicago is in the perfect spot. Please note, the hotel starts on the 4th floor and there are several stairs the need to be climbed to get to the elevator and then to the hotel itself. People with mobility issues should check ahead of time.

The room was very spacious with the TV in the living room and one in the bedroom, the Wi-Fi worked very well, the breakfast was good, the room was clean, and it was a very good location. The guy who helps you park your car is phenomenal. Such a nice guy and so helpful. The front desk people, the people who work in the breakfast buffet, everyone was so nice. The only thing that needs work, and I think they were in the process but didn’t get it quite done, was only having a bathtub because there was no shower curtain. We highly recommend hotel Chicago. The picture is of my wife and I at the palace which we could see from our hotel window.

It was an okay stay. Staff was amazing. Facility was so-so. Breakfast was a sit down, service breakfast- very nice! but not our type of food. It would have been nice to choose how our eggs were cooked or something like vegetarian vs meat lovers. Breakfast was gluten and meat heavy. Two things we don’t eat. Having 1 or 2 options vs only one option serves all would have been easier to work with. Convenient location, nice facilities, reasonable price. Overall would stay again, my comments are simply suggestions for improvement.

The service was above and beyond expectations. My wife had an accident while hiking in Theth, and we had to come immediately back to Shkodër. The staff was so kind and accommodating, helping us with everything we needed, giving us the closest room to the elevator, service from the hotel restaurant (delicious food), ice from the bar to help with my wife’s injury, etc. I can’t say enough about how kind everyone was. On top of that all, the room was excellent, spotless clean, and very comfortable bed. Thank you Hotel Chicago!

During our trip to Albania, we stayed at a hotel in Shkodër. Its central location was convenient, but it turned out to be a disadvantage at night due to the noise — it was hard to sleep. We were able to stay in the same room with three friends, which was an advantage for us. However, the breakfast was disappointing. The items were not prepared with much care — the cake was dry, and the cheeses seemed a bit stale. The drinks (tea and coffee) were served from a bar-like area, and you couldn’t get them whenever you wanted. When we handed our cups to the barista for hot drinks, she served us with an unpleasant expression. On the bright side, the reception staff were kind and friendly.

The staff here is absolutely phenomenal!! I fell a little in love with the girls at the front desk ((Ola, Marcella, and Estella). They were SO positive, kind, welcoming, and helpful! Fabiola at breakfast is also FABULOUS! The hotel is super cool! It's both modern and comfortable. It's located in a pedestrian zone filled with shops and restaurants. The bus stop is also an easy walk. A tourist information center is also an easy walk. Highly recommend!

Sehr gute Lage, wer jedoch Auto anreist sollte sich nicht auf Google Maps verlassen, der schickt einen immer in verbotene Zonen, das Hotel ist nur über den Bulevardi Skenderbeu zu erreichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, jedoch nicht in Buffet Form, es wird an den Tisch gebracht. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen.
