“Beautiful grounds on arrival and very impressed. Unfortunately, receptionist was very condescending because we had booked through expedia therefore no fee spa access! We weren't told where anything was or what we had to do for breakfast or how to get to our room!! Room was a distance away and smelt a bit, but lovely comfortable bed and massive shower. We used the bar for food but really not impressed! One of the dishes tasted funny, and we found out it had been fried in hazelnut oil which was...

“Great room, the suite was really spacious and clean. Nice decor, the balcony was good on a hot day. The squeaky bedroom floor was really annoying but didn't effect our stay in any way really. Lots of parking available and reception staff very helpful. One thing we didnt realise is that they offer reduced rates to hawkstone follies which we didnt know pre arrival. We had a drink in both bars and staff were very nice at both.”

“To start out I want to be clear that this is a lovely little cottage, that had a good amount of space on the ground floor. The staircase is exceptionally steep being an old cottage, they are not easy to navigate with luggage etc. The cottage is on the main road through the area, so you do get a bit of road noise, but it's not a massive issue. The main challenge for me is that the listing on expedia is a completely different location and very misleading. The property is not in Shrewsbury like...
