The restaurant was closed, despite it being advertised. on their website and hotels.com. No dinner when i arrived late in the evening and no breakfast the following morning, despite booking for B&B. They still had a sheet of paper in the room, advertising the breakfast. No remote for the TV, no phone in the room, the bathroom light constantly flickered - enough to set off an epileptic (I'm not, so all good), no wifi in the hotel. I've stayed here many times in the past. I won't stay here again.

room was nice and clean. The room or the furniture has just been painted as i could smell the paint. The carpets were stained in places. it was generally ok.

These rooms have a door inside to the next room. If you get a neighbour that plays loud music, has arguments, smashes things up - don’t expect to sleep. As an added bonus, if they smoke drugs in there, your room will also fill with the smell of it, making it impossible to stay in your own room at 3am

Starting off, parking is free at the back of the hotel. Upon checking in at 10 pm, we were informed that the dining area is closed due to refurbishment hence there will be no breakfast. I am pretty sure that this could have been informed wither upon booking or after confirmation or a day or 2 prior to arrival so that we could make alternate arrangements as we had especially made a booking for breakfast. Room was freezing cold and took us a good hour to get the room warm enough to stop shivering. They did not have any extra blankets for the night. Carpets were stained, albeit vacuumed. There was no tissue toilet rolls or toilet roll holder in the toilets. They however provided one upon request. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Would never recommend.

Hotel stay
We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and the bed was really comfy. The only issue we had was no hot water for a shower/bath and no heating in the bathroom.

Disappointing stay
I got an executive room and it was by no means that standard. It was spaceous but very cold and couldnt increase the temperature the decor was really outdated. They also told us they couldn't offer breakfast due to the chef being unwell.

Parking, and the room was very clean. I would like to add that the person nxt door decieded to have a party for 1 which started with loud music and them singing at 11pm and went on till 2.30 am, they also kept banging draws and cupboard doors till 2.30am then started again at 6.30am so we had little sleep!

The lighting in our original room was faulty so we were moved to another room, which was nice but smelled strongly of paint. We had booked breakfast but the next morning there was no breakfast available. The second morning we had breakfast which was edible but not the best quality. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Sensor lights in the hallways are a good idea but they were not sensitive enough. Whilst it looks new on the outside, this hotel is not new on the inside.

Hotel was ok , except the room was freezing the lady at the desk came to see to the heater but it never made any difference . I asked if she could give us another duvet or blanket as the one on the bed was so thin . She said they never had any spare .The lights in room weren’t working except for small lights by bed and bathroom . Bedside lights full of dust and old tooth picks on floor . Wouldn’t go there again .

Hotel handy for the football club nextdoor. But very disappointed with the Hotel. As the Management "all of them" had gone a few days before my stay there had left there posts and left the poor very young staff members too run the Hotel and catering side of things. As there were not management there the staff that were left in position " very young people " had there hands tied with the limited amount of thing that they were able too get done !!. There was NO pool and leisure facilities available... displaying on there sight available. As it was separated from the Hotel 12 months prior to my stay. The heating of my room was poor and not on at all it the bathroom. Tea and coffee were very limited in the room. The bed kept moving when you even sat on it. So not very safe !!. The coroner and room carpet was crumpled and a trip hazard, dangerous !!. But I still have to say that the young members of staff that were left to run the business/Hotel were helpful in the limited things they could help with were very helpful , kind and good .

Run down hotel, no facilities as described on website for 12months (pool/restaurant/bar). Breakfast was inedible, no Managers no response from written form after 4 days.

I had an unfortunate experience in the room i shut the bathroom door from outside in the room 1am and it locked itself and i could not access the bathroom. At 7am i was dying to go to tge toilet so went to reception. A member of staff informed they had been there at night and could have opened tge bathroom for me and with a special key tgey opened my bathroom. Otherwise it was a goid syay but seems like a design fault on the bathroom door.

Clean hotel, with rooms sized as expected for budget hotel, but only one socket in a family room meant we struggled to charge phones etc. Light switches (3 in one bank) were confusing and we gave up trying to find the bathroom light in the middle f the night. car park entrance difficult to find - could not find any signposts - its actual off a side street to one side of the hotel and currently being dug up. Make sue you know your car reg as you will need to register it at recetion or risk a fine. Our room had a good view of the carpark if you like to keep an eye on yoru car. DO NOT bother with the breakfasts - bought in and put in microwave - even then they were cold and hdd to be sent back. If you want to bed for the night and can put up with the lack of sockets this is an affordable option.

Staff not welcoming or friendly on arrival or though out are 1 night staff. Booked it for a conference I was attending and a number of collegues went for breakfast which was inedible. Dirty plates, bowls, stale bread for making roast, no butter available they didn't have any. Was told by a member of stay they have not a lot to work with and what the cook is given to cook with.. Informed reception of the state of the breakfast which was £12.95, was told well what do you want us to be about it, you cannot have a refund and you can stand in reception all day the answer will be the same. I have never stayed in a hotel with such hostile staff.

Nice hotel, needs plug sockets!
Hotel is nice and the facilities are ok. I only used the room so can’t comment on the restaurant etc. However I would say you really need to have an extension lead with you! There was only one double plug in the room by the tv which is fine for charging a phone overnight but if I wanted to sit in bed and charge my phone I couldn’t. First world issues I know but for the size of the room the plug ratio is daft!

This is a nice property, it is quiet, however it is seriously understaffed. I paid extra for a breakfast, one member of staff was available to deal with it, and there was a couple of pieces of cold bacon and sausage was all that was available. The tea/coffee machine was not working. No staff available to provide real help. I had stayed in this property several years ago when the service was excellent, so it has certainly gone backwards.There were also problems in the room with bathroom door, which I did get resolved in the end.
