Heuksando is part of Dadohaehaesang National Park, which is the largest national park in Korea, which expands across seven coastal areas in the South and West sea. It was designated as the 14th national park in Korea in 1981, which spans over 2,321.2㎢ with 334.8㎢ being land and 1,990.4㎢ being water.

It earned the name ‘Heuksando’ (Black Island) because the ocean looks nearly black around. It’s a relatively big island with an area of 19.7㎢ and a total coast length of 41.8km. There is a 24km-long coastal road that can take you to most of the beautiful sites as well as cultural and historical sites of the island. "Building is brand new and very clean, within walking distance of nightlife and shopping district. Breakfast was just a to-go box consisting of half of a sandwich, a rice ball, and 2 cherry tomatoes. You also got a juice box. Thankfully, the coffee machine on first floor is very nice."

"가격, 위치 등을 종합적으로 고려했을 때 가성비 면에서는 최고의 숙소인 듯 합니다. 청결 상태가 좋고, 샤워 부스와 화장실, 메이크업 룸이 나름 분리된 욕실도 좋았어요. 저는 딱딱한 침대를 좋아해서 메트리스가 저한테는 맞지 않았지만 침대가 익숙한 분들은 좋아하실 듯요. 저는 가족과 목포 맛집 돌아다니느라 아침 식사를 거의 하지 않았지만 이 가격에 조식 포함이라는 것을 생각해 보면 나름 괜찮은 듯요. 무료 공영 주차장이 바로 옆에 있어 주차가 편리한 것도 큰 장점입니다."
