Ok, well this was quite an adventure. And not a fun adventure! Keep in mind this hotel was OVER $100 so the families and I was expecting something in the mid descent range. When we arrived the hotel itself was rundown, and that ok. It was across the street from a strip club, and that’s okay—we were staying there during the week and didn’t notice any unseedy things. The first room they gave us the AC wasn’t working very well, it was muggy and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. They moved us. The second room AC didn’t work well either, but when we went to open the sofa bed for son it was COVERED IN WHITE MOLD I mean ALOT OF MOLD. We called down the front desk girl came up (with a paint roller??? Not sure what that was for) and when she saw it she was flabbergasted because there WAS NOTHING to explain away that. So we packed up and moved to another room.
The room was dirty and I don’t think they have housekeeping staff (1. Didn’t see any ever in our two days. 2. We requested they to make beds and replace a mold shower curtain but all we got was 1 of beds made and no curtain)
The front desk girl was nice and receptive but the entire experience was beyond acceptable. I hate when we get these crappy hotels we can’t leave because the response we get is “you purchased through a third party and we can’t process of refund”. So we had to stay at this hotel of horrors for two nights. So anyone looking for a place to stay in Sioux Falls, spend extra cash and find someplace else!!!
