I recently stayed at the Ramada in Sioux Falls, and I can confidently say it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences Iโ€™ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was hit with a stale, musty smell that lingered throughout the entire building. The hotel feels old, worn down, and in desperate need of a deep clean and serious renovations. The carpets were stained, the walls were scuffed, and everything just had a grimy, unkept feel to it. Our room was no better. The bathroom was dirty, with mold and mildew in the shower corners. The towels were thin and rough, and I wasnโ€™t entirely sure they were clean. The bedsheets didnโ€™t feel fresh, and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The one โ€œhighlightโ€ of this place is supposed to be the water slide, but even that was underwhelming. The pool area felt just as dingy as the rest of the hotel, and I couldnโ€™t help but question the cleanliness of the water. There was visible grime on the pool tiles, and the overall vibe was anything but inviting. If youโ€™re thinking of booking this place for the water slide, save your money โ€” itโ€™s not worth it. Staff interaction was minimal, and when I did ask for assistance, I was met with indifference. I understand that hospitality jobs can be stressful, but basic courtesy shouldnโ€™t be too much to expect. The property was nice and it was just as expected. It would be a great place for kids and the pills are very cool. I would recommend renting a car during your stay out using Lyft. Not very walkable overall. Nearest store is at least 15 mins away. Great overall!
