"I recently stayed at FOUND Hotel DuPont Circle for two nights starting Friday, April 17, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We arrived around 7:00 PM on one of the hottest days of the year, only to find that the air conditioning in our room was not working. I reached out immediately via the hotel’s listed “24/7” text help line—sending six messages—and also called their off-site support number seven times. Despite these repeated attempts, I received no meaningful response that evening. The next morning, I got a generic message asking how my stay was going, as if my previous messages had never been sent. I again reported the issue. Eventually, someone came to inspect the unit and confirmed it was “frozen over.” While he made multiple attempts throughout the day to fix it, the air conditioning was still not working as of 3 PM. It wasn’t until around 8 PM—essentially the end of our stay—that it was finally functioning. A working air conditioning system is a basic expectation, especially in extreme heat. The lack of response the first night and the delay in resolving the issue made the situation far worse. In addition to that, the room itself was not up to standard. There were visible cleanliness issues, including what appeared to be beard shavings left by the sink. The shower handle was also loose and partially coming off the wall. After my stay I reached out about the issues, and have not received a response in over a week."

"Great stay in DC! the amenities in this grand hotel made me feel like I took a little luxury vacation along with my actual purpose, which was work related. Beautiful grounds and flowers, great location, steps away from Rock Creek Park as well as the Metro and bus lines. Busy property but my room was quiet and looked out on nature (in the middle of the city!)."

"Good a/c in room, rooms felt very cramped but well appointed with good coffee machines, comfy beds, good tv. Elevators are old small and one was broken so was a daily issue, restaurant and bar excellent. Overall a 4 star experience but needed more to be a 5 star"

"Did not go to breakfast. Reception people not very friendly or helpful. They were not familiar with metro or buses or Georgetown. I have traveled extensively but had to ask for help to turn on lights in the room. Lamp switches very hard to find. Very modern rooms so the light situation….room not tidied the second day but had enough towels but needed more coffee pods. Bar was nice and adjacent dining room outside had had trivia night. A bit far away from downtown and sights. Discription of hotel location could have been better. "
