Perfect location in centre of Sofia within walking distance to everything. Only drawback is there is no official parking & drop-off area which was inconvenient. The property itself is wonderful with newly renovated modern rooms and smart features. Breakfast is wonderful and would recommend. We did not try the lunch/dinner options.

The Sofia Balkan Palace Hotel offers a refined and comfortable stay in an unbeatable central location. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and feature a stylish shower room that adds a touch of luxury. Staff are warm and welcoming, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. While the breakfast buffet could benefit from more variety—especially in drink options—the hotel’s elegance and convenience more than make up for it. Great value for money considering that this is one of the prime hotels in Sofia. Beautiful old building. Breakfast buffet was good. I got a nice bottle of champagne as an Expedia royal member.

The hotel is beautiful, but AC didn’t work properly… it was crazy hot . No matter how I was lowering the temperature to low, it stayed on 25 C … the room 309 AC needs to be fixed

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times in the last ten years. it seems to me, with every stay, the place looks worse and offers less than before. New ownership etc. Used to be the best in town and now it has that old musty hotel odor. Will i stay here next time , i come to Sofia, most likely..
