Room was great but wasnt able to use the pool and hot tub when I wanted. Was told by 3rd party security guy that pool and hot tub didn't open until staff arrived which was 9am he said. I had to checkout before then.

For one the information on the Aspen. Hotel was that there was a Continental Breakfast served in the morning. When I woke up and asked the staff said absolutely there was no breakfast served ever and they weren’t sure why it said that there was. Also, we waited until 9am to get into the pool and just when we went to open the door at 9am it was out of order the staff said some chemical imbalance. For over $500 for one night it was a sad experience!!

Newer hotel in great shape in a town full of outdated hotels & motes. We visited a few others and this was a big upgrade with boardwalk and fishing on Kenai’s River in back

This property shares its first floor and lobby with Major Marine Tours. Outsiders over run the area that should have been a lobby. Lack of privacy. The breakfast area was crowded and lacked sitting to accommodate guests. Parking is at a premium, not enough for guests. Our Kenai all day tour did not leave from hotel but the dock was down the street. So we had to walk a distance. Not worth the $500 per day rate.

I had a very quiet stay there recently, was in Alaska to see my ill father, but it was also nice that there was a grocery store, etc., located nearby that I could walk to. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean. I'll give them a 10 for my stay.

Food was left in the fridge left in there for who knows how long. Found tobacco chew under the bed. Heard another guest say no one came to clean their room. Corners of the room were dusty. In the drawers weren’t clean. Other than that felt welcomed. Once I told front counter about cleanliness. She wrote it down.

Every stay at the Aspen keeps us coming back. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. This time in order to get my handicapped husband near an outside door, I took a pet room. I was a bit apprehensive about the room. I needn't have been. It was as spotless as any of the rooms we have stayed in there. What iI really like about the rooms is that they never "smell" clean. They are clean and hence have no sent at all.

I called this hotel directly and asked if the pool and hot tub were open and working (because they are notorious for being broken) and I was told yes. Only to show up and they are in fact NOT open and have not been for a month. I was told I must have been on the call with an AI bot. I asked for a manager to call me in the morning. No call ever. I would never have stayed in this hotel and paid the amount of money I paid, if I had not been lied to. I could have saved money staying with a friend or at another lodging facility but I paid the money under the guise that there would be a functional hot tub and pool. I will never stay at this hotel again, even if they do get the pool and hot tub fixed… which I doubt will ever happen.
