Beautiful accommodations! Hosts were so kind and helpful. Quiet and quaint street but easy walk to restaurants, shopping, beaches and center of town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful stay.

Marcella and Antoni were the ideal hostess and host. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in their beautiful home. The breakfast, made by Marcella, was always such a wonderful experience, with friendly conversation. Their knowledge of the area gave us many opportunities to explore. The garden was such a nice surprise and very peaceful to return to after a day of exploration. We especially enjoyed the cats and turtles in the garden. The accommodations were very comfortable. The location was in the center of everything, making it convenient walking to shops, restaurants and sights. Thank you both, so much, for your hospitality. We would recommend to everyone who wants a peaceful, warm place to stay in Sorrento.

We were so fortunate to have found Il San Gaetano. Antonio and Marcella were such gracious hosts. They and their staff warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. The garden was beautifully landscaped with lemon trees and flowers. The location is perfect. It’s a short walk to the water, restaurants, and the station. We were also able to take a beautiful hike from the location. Our room was perfectly appointed. Breakfast was freshly made with local produce and authentic cooking. We could not have asked for more. We hope to return again in the future!

This is the most beautiful hotel a traveler could choose. Every room is decorated and designed like a small museum. The art collection is amazing. The amenities go above and beyond, most amazing were Frete ironed sheets everyday, huge soft bath towels and robes. There were views in every direction from the rooftop patio, or the lovely garden, where you could enjoy your breakfast, reading a book, or glass of wine. The breakfast varied every morning with a large selection of freshly prepared dishes. Fresh made to order coffee, and I’m guessing here but probably tea. The hotel was very close to the ferry, it was in the center of the old town, the shopping, restaurants, gelato shops. Everything was a short walk. The hosts were available to help us with any questions of the area, how to travel to sites outside of town, or suggest restaurants. We loved it here. If you like intimate, friendly historical hotel this is the one!

It’s by far my favorite place to stay in Sorrento. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Fabulous grounds. Fabulous breakfast. Fabulous Marcella who is the sublime hostess. And her husband! Starter. You won’t be sorry. Turtles live there too. And three delicious kitties. All rescues. To stay elsewhere is just silly! Close to everything. Close to Piazza Tasso - a few minutes walk. Glorious!!

We spent 10 days of our honeymoon at this absolute hidden gem, and it was easily one of the greatest highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the exquisite architecture, thoughtful decor, and stunning attention to detail throughout the property. Our hosts, Marcelle and Antonio, are truly unmatched. Their genuine kindness and warmth made us feel so welcomed, and the friendship we built with them is something we will treasure forever. Every morning began with a wonderful, freshly prepared breakfast served in the serene courtyard garden, accompanied by the three cutest resident kitties and turtles—it was such a peaceful way to start our day. Marcelle and Antonio always took the time to share incredible local recommendations and tailored tips for our daily itineraries, helping us experience Sorrento like true locals. If you are planning a trip to Sorrento, do not hesitate to stay here. We cannot recommend this charming haven enough!

Il Gaetano was one of the most wonderful places we stayed in Italy. It's hard to overstate how charming this place is. Our hosts welcomed in and we immediately entered the outdoor courtyard, a shady slice of paradise with many kinds of trees & flowers, as well as three cats and eight tortoises. We didn't see all of the tortoises at once but, during the course of our stay we would see one or two or three at a time, scuttling about. They were delightful and not at all shy, sometimes visiting us during breakfast. Breakfasts were also delightful, a nice assortment of fruits, meats, cheeses and pastries. Our hosts, Antonio & Marcella, were immensely welcoming and helpful with their knowledge of the town. The interior was a beautiful combination of rustic and elegant decor, with a second floor sitting area that overlooked the courtyard, as well as a formal sitting area. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Our room even had a little balcony above the bustling main street below. Our time on the premises really was an escape for us.

A beautiful, artful haven right in Sorrento Centrale. The owners make you feel like you are part of their family. Rooms are impeccable, newly refurbished and well appointed. The property is super secure and well guarded by three family “guard-cats” and 8 “guard-turtles” who live in the lemon grove garden in front of the house. A lovely home-cooked breakfast is available every morning and cooking classes, taught by the owner, can be booked in advance. Hundreds of restaurants are within 2-10 minute walking distance. The owners can give you a list of their favorites. If you want a special, personal experience, this is the place to stay.
