"Stayed in one of the renovated Queen suites. The room was good sized and well lit, very clean, very comfortable bed, good bathroom with shower. It had plenty of storage space, a double couch/sofa bed, chairs and table, chest of drawers, TV and aircon. There was an iron and ironing board, and hair drier. Internet access available though we didn't use it. One of the windows could open to allow fresh air in yet remain secure. Plenty of parking - able to park outside room which is a big plus. Small though good sized fridge functioned well and was stocked with milk and water. The Motel was obviously larger and grander in the past, but is adequately maintained. There is a swimming pool that appears fine. There appear to be some areas that could be used for business. The restaurant is closed but an adequate continental breakfast box is provided for each guest. Kettle with tea, coffee, milk with cookies provided , renewed each day. The reception and housekeeping staff are all pleasant and helpful. The motel is vey conveniently located for the Eastern suburbs, and is not very noisy despite its location on a main road. It is close to several small shopping centres. We will be happy to stay again. "

"Parking was a little tight but we have stayed here over 20 years and find the Anchor very convenient near Brisbane airport (20min). Wynnum has convenient grocery andcall the stores you need with a nice RSL for evening meals all down the road a mile."
