“We were truly delighted by our stay at the Observatory. In addition to being centrally located, the hotel is part of an arts center that has been reconstructed/renovated from the Christchurch earthquakes. The history is fascinating! “We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with our 2 x kids on the fold out couch in the lounge area. Great value for money. The facilities were excellent: comfy bed, good shower, kitchen with dishwasher & full size fridge. The apartment was lovely and spacious & sunny & quiet. Would recommend this to other travelers.”

“The hotel is excellent quality and probably one of the top 2 hotels in Dunedin. Very convenient car parking building right opposite the hotel and it's about a 10min walk to The Octagon for bars, restaurants and cafes. Shopping on George Street is another 3 min walk. The location itself was brilliant, a short 3-5 min walk to the centre of town, and right across the road from the town hall, where we attended a concert during our stay.
