With new safety guidelines in place, travel looks a bit different at present. Here are some useful things to know before you pack your bags for Southeastern Saskatchewan:

• Before locking in your flight, check if any travel bans or restrictions apply — in both your destination and origin. Keep informed with the latest updates by reviewing government travel advisories.
• Wear a face mask during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, position the pass on the reader and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, put items such as your belt, phone and wallet into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• If you're bringing food on the plane with you, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.

As part of a "new travel normal" due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most reputable airlines have introduced social distancing policies and other precautionary measures. A couple of these carriers are listed below:
