“Our stay at Springkell was a highlight of our trip. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were amazing, and it was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was also quite good. For people traveling from the US who are users of Google maps for directions, I suggest avoiding the Google maps directions to get to sprinkell. We were taken on a roundabout way that ended up with us on a very rudded gravel road as it was getting dark. We were there for only one day, and I wish that we could have stayed...

“Very welcoming reception from the host. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. My wife is coeliac and was well catered for. This B&B is ideally suited for the city centre, has close transport links and also provides on-street parking. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. ”

“Could not imagine a more wonderful stay. Hiking Hadrian’s wall and the Sally was a most wonderful stay. The food was incredible with great vegetarian and gluten free options. The rooms were large and comfortable with very comfortable beds, great water pressure, and all spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, all in a lovely little parish. I highly recommend staying at the Sally. ”

“Great location to stay right in the centre of town and basically next to the Cathedral area. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed. We had dinner in the bar, very friendly staff and decent food. Breakfast in he morning was equally nice - it is a beautiful old building and these areas were lovely. For us also useful that it had parking included. A very nice play to stay in Carlisle. ”
