โQuirky property with complete self check-in using codes and key boxes. Room (St Albans) roomy and bathroom well appointed. WiFi worked well. Bit of a lack of surfaces - desk would have been nice. Great location - but town is uphill! โ
โThe property is small and cozy as described, facilities are tidy and clean. We couldnโt receive the check-in instructions until we call at check-in time, the problem is solved quickly.
A reminder that the toilet door is a reused old front door, that means when you lock it, you should lift the handle up first and then turn the button.
The shower door needs a bit hard push to lock and avoid water came out.
Overall is satisfactory!

โCommunication was non-existent - despite sending plenty of messages through the Expedia app, in the end I only got to speak with the owner when I was stood right outside the property. The beds are next level uncomfortable - very springy and one of them had a proper dip in its middle. Not recommended.โ
โA lovely quirky hotel close to Hertfordshire University. Many food places close by however, the onsite restaurant was delicious and the staff friendly, polite and welcoming. The rooms were generous sized and well equipped for our stay. We would definitely return. โ
โClean and well-presented lobby and room. Reasonable parking option, which is good for 24h from arrival time. Breakfast was very good and had what you would expect for a full English, along with continental optionsโreasonable price. Location is excellent for car travellers as it is just off the A1, in the back end of a rest stop, and very quiet. Best part is this hotel is pet-friendly ๐ถ. โ
