Just stayed one night. Room was a good size. No ventilation however and it was very warm which made our stay uncomfortable. Breakfast to go was very good.

A great place to stay
Fantastic place to say, plenty of space for us and dogs, delicious food and such friendly helpful staff, apparently they sometimes have issues with the boiler but immediately offered a partial refund when we didn't have hot water

Amazing Little Inn
Such a lovely inn, with the friendliest and charming staff. The food in the pub is very delicious!

Excellent place and food excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. Food to high standard,young staff were very professional and polite. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was the best ive had. The atmosphere was buzzing as per usual in the west midlands. Definitely stay here again

Weekend visit from Surrey
Four of us stayed Saturday night and this was our first time at the Littleton arms. The rooms were clean , functional and very comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was exceptionally good, great service and a very good choice on offer. Good value and will definitely return in the future. 👍👍👍👍👍

Property ideally located for our purposes. Unfortunately TV did not work and no hot water initially on second morning. Main number for problems not answered and emergency no. belonged to previous owner who sold business 18 months previous! Building floors need work.

Thank you for the review. We are aware of the issues and have had these sorted. Business hasn't been sold over 18 months ago, new ownership has been since January. Emergency numbers have been updated and are in the information sheet provided in rooms since mid January. We are in progress of new referb at Littleton Arms Penkridge and I hope this doesn't affect you wanting to stay with us in the near future.

Warm welcome at a traditional inn, great food and beer and comfortable room. Had the option of a night in Birmingham at a characterless chain hotel or 30 mins on the train, short walk past the bowling green and church and a night in a pleasant small hotel at a fraction of the cost!

I was in room 7, a lovely spacious room with huge sash windows. It does need a little TLC but then it is an old building. The issue for me was lack of sleep. The curtains were paper thin so broad daylight at 5am. Also the fire exit was by my door and used by staff so this was slammed several times late at night. The toilet made a weird loud noise (like a lorry horn!) every 15 mins. So just as I was dropping off I got woken up. Not ideal.

I do apologies about the lack of sleep in your room. We will be sorting the issue out with the curtains as i wasn't aware about this. The guests are using the fire exits as no staff members need to use the fire escape, so we cant deal with guest using that exit unfortunately. With the toilet we are trying to fix this issue as we tried to put a saniflow in that room because of where it is situated in the hotel, also with it being an old building we have difficulties with the plumbing after a while. I really do appreciate your honest review and will take this on board and resolve this as soon as possible. I hope this hasn't put you off staying with us in the near future.Thank you

It looks like this place was nice a few years ago, my room was in need of modernising and a coat of paint. It looked like they were short staffed, the restaurant was busy. Good beer. Just not very welcoming and looked a bit run down. seemed very popular though. I can't understand why some places only offer cooked breakfasts at the weekend, don't be fooled by this when you book, only continental available.

Hi David, Im sorry about the lack of staff when you arrived. We are aware of the rooms needing some tlc and this is one of our priorities to be done soon. We are going through new management at the moment and everyone's review is essential to us and we welcome peoples honest reviews as this is where we will be taking pride in improving our facilities. With cooked breakfast only available at the weekend, we will see what the future holds and maybe take to having cooked breakfast as an option in the week.

All good except the noise from the kitchen fan, it stopped at 10pm but started again at 7.30am. Not nice when the windows are open. Good food though.

Overnight stay
We stopped overnight for a business meeting the following day. Check in was simple but charged twice which was rectified the following day. We had dinner at hotel which was very good and they gave us a complimentary drink for the booking error which was a nice touch. Breakfast was continental but good choice. Only slight down for me was hotel and bar shut down at 10pm. For the price paid it was very good value and would stay again if doing business in Penkridge.
