Chicaugon Lake Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very charming well-cared for hotel with lake view scenery. The rooms were spotless. The hotel has VCR's in each room with a library of fun VHS tape movies to bring to your room and watch, should you desire a little TV time. There are nearby walking paths and the hotel is about a 15 minute drive to Alpha or Iron River. Both Alpha and Iron River have one of a kind pubs and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. They do serve a continental breakfast at 7 am. We were up much earlier than that and out the door, so we didn't experience the breakfast. They do have vending machines and ice. The rooms do "not" have coffee pots and coffee is not served until 7 am, so if you want coffee prior to that, then you have to bring your own travel pot or there is a coffee shop in Iron River/Gas stations as well that serve coffee. Our stay was perfect. The staff was wonderful. We support local small business. This place checks all the boxes."
Towneplace Suites by Marriott Iron Mountain

"The pluses should always be said first I feel: Teresa the manager is amazing. She checked on us during breakfast and we had a very nice conversation with her. In fact we noticed how well all of the staff received guests, with a smile, eye contact, and a verbal acknowledgment. However, when checking in, the cc scanner wasn’t working properly. I didn’t count, but I believe my card was scanned six-ish times before the machine accepted it. I was concerned that it was was protecting a predetermined set aside amount each time it was scanned. When the machine finally accepted the card, I was asked to sign. That of course is expected, but there was nothing on the screen to show how much the purchase was that I sign to approve. You have a beautiful hotel there in Iron Mountain, and we would definitely stay there again. I don’t mean to give it “customer is always right” impression, because I never believed that statement. However I do hope that taking a few minutes to share this feedback can help your business avoid issues in the future. Have a blessed day!"

Lakeside Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"This property was comfortable and clean. We had a lakeside room, which had a beautiful view. Unfortunately, we weren't there on a sunny day, when I'm sure the view is even better. The breakfast was excellent. There are so few actual BandBs anymore, it's a delight when we find one."
