DO NOT STAY HERE unless there is a change in how things are run. Wyndham should reassess having its brand associated with this hotel. Receptionist was pleasant but took 10 minutes to find 3 rooms that we had booked and was constantly being distracted by a friend (not an employee) who was eating cornstarch at the front desk. Other friends were hanging (Loitering) in the breakfast area. We had an elderly person with us who was exhausted and took the first room found. If it wasn’t for us not wanting to disturb them we would have left when we got the other 2 rooms. The cable box had been taken so no tv - as well as the bath plug, with food and alcohol in fridge from a previous customer. As the room was not clean, we changed to another room. The third room had a lamp held to the wall by duct tape and curtains that could not close because half the runner clips were missing. Also had food in the fridge and a broken coffee maker. An interesting variety of stuff was under the bed as it hadn’t been vacuumed.The hallway smelled of marijuana or else a skunk was recently there. Horrible but so late at night, and other hotels in Statesboro were booked out. Total waste of money and it is incredulous to know that this is a higher priced hotel in the area. Ended up that the first room that our elderly companion stayed in had used sheets with the remote made into the bed. We left before breakfast. Only bonus is that as we look back a few weeks later, it was so bad it was funny.

It is definitely an older property that is showing its wear. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Not worth the money
The beds were uncomfortable. The room had a broken headboard, air conditioner vent and stains on the wall and in bathtub!

Bad stay at the old belmont
The first room the floor was soaking wet. Had to change rooms. The 2nd room hair dryer didn't work went to front desk and the manager was like so I dont have an extra hair dryer. I had to ask if I could use anither room to blow dry my hair.

Room was very dirty and something I would expect from a $50 a night hotel, not what I paid. I will not be staying here again!

The bathroom was horrible. The shower had mold all around it, the ceiling of the bathroom had a big hole where someone attempted to patch the hole but failed miserably.

Staff was very pleasant. Door to our first room was insecure. I could push it open without the key. Funny odor in both rooms. Second room had a small lizard on the curtain. Didn’t see it until morning of checkout. Rear door to property was propped open by carpet until a certain time in the evening.

I was traveling on business and my stay was only one night. I don't require much, just a clean bed and a shower. This hotel did provide that. The property is dated and in need of an update. My room had a small fridge and a microwave. The fridge was set at maximum cool with no way to adjust the temperature so everything put in it was frozen in a couple of hours. Water in the shower was hot and had sufficient pressure. The staff that I interacted with was friendly and the coffee was great.

Bathroom was a disaster. Hair ball on the floor, toilet is round with a oval toilet set, none of the 4 outlets in the bathroom worked, with the switch cover half inch away from the wall, not only in the bathroom but in the main room also. Quarter size brown stain on the lampshade by the bed, and it goes on and on. Front desk staff was nice, but overall NOT worth the money and will never stay there again.

We checked in and were concerned immediately about the cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was on the 4th floor and as we stepped off the elevator, the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. The cigarette smell in our room was equally horrible. We never even put down our luggage. Simply turned around and checked out. The receptionist was polite as we were leaving.

Not Pleasant
Hotel was not kept up/old and not renovated. Bed sheets felt old and worn. Not bleached or crisp like most hotels. Pillows were the same. The room made me feel dirty and I couldn’t wait to take a hot shower, wash my hair and check out.

HGTV needs to do a hotel remodel
The bed was nice. However the hotel needs to be freshened up. Looks like I was remodeled in the late 80s or early 90s. A room above me leaked and the carpet in my room was soaked. I was only given an apology.

Where do I start? Broken coffee in breakfast area, vending machines for beverages set at 97 degrees. Rooms are run down and dirty. Arm chairs in room had ground in dirt on the arms, bathrooms are held together with caulk, outlets coming out of the wall held by tape. Switching rooms resulted in a room with coffee machine and hairdryer not functional.

Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in serious need of repair/upgrade.and not worth 1/3 of the $150 a night exhorbitant rate for parents weekend at Georgia Southern First room had terrible musty smell. Complained to Staff who quickly changed us to another room. No musty smell, but smoke/fire detector was not on the wall, just exposed wire. end window with peeling drywall and looking water. Also exposed wiring near microwave. There was also mildew in the window/wall peeling drywall at the end of the hallway. Stayed for 2 nights room was not cleaned first night. Had to go to desk for fresh towels. I have stayed at other Wyndham Baymont properties before years ago. Based on this property Wyndham will not be high on my list and I will NEVER stay at this Baymont again.

The hotel room was great but the breakfast and coffee were awful. The coffee is the worst I have ever had. I stay in Baymont by Wyndham hotel in Venice, Florida quite often and it is amazing and that is why I booked this one. The rooms were as nice but the breakfast was not good

very nasty place.
I walked in and I told them after I looked at the place there were stains everywere and smelled and dirty towels and sheets I asked for my money back but still hasn't posted on my account yet. this place shouldn't put wyndhams name on it.
