"Great hotel and friendly staff"

"The hotel itself is in a good location and staff friendly and helpful but the aircon is broken constantly and when asked (as many other guests did too) the reply from staff was that it’s just temporarily broken down. However they did reply later to other guest suggesting it will be likely repaired in September) yeah when the weather cools down. The lobby is air conditioned but the room upstairs all of them are incredibly uncomfortably hot. It’s strange because in summer many other Holidays Inn hotels have the same issues but in winter it’s the heating which is broken. Also rooms coincidentally have a fan and small heater available too as though this is the long term solution. Anyway it’s not a bad hotel and I don’t blame the staff for the poor management cost savings on these somewhat pricey places to stay."

"Great place to stay before an early morning flight. Hotel is a short 1 minute walk from the terminal which is very helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are helpful. A pleasant lobby/bar area to have a relaxing drink. There is also a pool, sauna, steam room, and gym which are free to use for hotel guests which is a fantastic bonus to start the holiday! Overall, the best hotel option near Stansted Airport and worth paying a few £ extra for."

"The room was nice, receptionist was pleasant, grounds were pretty, the pool was empty and pleasant. The breakfast was ok, the staff were slow to clear away dirty plates and refresh items, The rooms in the Manor House were elegant looking, if you looked too closely at anything it was apparent things needed a refresh or complete refurbs/fixing (leaking ceilings, broken panels, bath plug continued to let water out the bath) but it was absolutely fine was for what we needed"

"Excellent welcome by Dean when we checked in. He told us all we needed to know re the restaurant for dinner and what we could expect for breakfast at 4.30am.. Whilst the menu for the restaurant is extensive, the salad options are limited - only a Caesar Salad which wasn’t available when we had dinner. Breakfast at 4.30am is a great plus with a sufficient range of food to have before getting a flight. Our room was clean and despite being so close to the airport (and the lift), we had a very peaceful sleep"
