"Really cool old school full of History area to stay in the Shenandoah National Park. Feels great to be immersed in nature. Nice little Lodge area with overlook. A few small downsides... Person at front desk wouldn't change our room so that we could stay another night even though they had plenty of rooms available open for two nights. They said it was because I booked on Expedia. But this sounds like it's just red tape nonsense. Just help the person in front of you and forget about the he computer. Also wouldn't allow us to purchase bottled water even though there was a fridge with water right in front of us because it wasn't the right time of day. Ridiculous."

"The outside needed fresh paint, current paint was peeling off all over. Outside grounds also needed new landscaping. Rooms were outdated, toilet had stains, carpets were worn out."

"Great location right outside of Luray for an affordable price. Very quiet and easy to check in. We called and got our door code and we were in earlier than our check-in time. The rooms had clearly been remodeled recently with updated flooring, paint, furniture, etc. The sheets and towels were lacking though. It doesn't seem like they upgraded the towels since they upgraded the rooms. Very thin, very small. The door that connected to another room had a very wobbly doorknob which made it feel unsafe between rooms, but I wasn't overly concerned. Liked that there was a mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and small single coffee machine. We had the 2 bedroom suite at the very end, so we had plenty of space for the 4 of us. We were only there one night so we didn't use anything else on the property, but it seemed ok and better than the hotels we passed in the area!"

"Room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was the highlight of my stay. So yummy. I'll definitely be staying there again."
