The owners are very friendly people. All family run. Very pretty rooms. It might look like it’s old but it’s very well upkept. In the middle of the woods which is good if your looking for peace and quiet.

Staff member was very accommodating and made sure our room had what it needed. He even switched out our room for us as we required a mini fridge for our stay.

The hot water didn't get hot enough for bathing. The locks on the doors was weak, not firmly closing doors. Nothing immediately near property.

Simple but adequate room and amenities. Old property and structure, newly renovated. No style but clean, new and functional. Beds a little sway backed but not horrible. We’ll priced on Expedia for our night. No breakfast although it looked like there was a Kurig machine in the small office area.

Fair fo low price
Very small. Clean. But alot of repairs needed. Worth the low price. Needed a place to sleep not to hang out. No ice maker but they were nice and gave us thier own ice tray.

America's Best Value Inn in Stonington, CT, is not the worst but it could be better. The room was clean, except under the bed which was very deep in dust. The design of the bed made it difficult to vacuum under the bed, but not impossible. If you have a dust intolerance, look elsewhere. The room lacked adequate electrical outlets, especially by the desk. And the outlet over the sink was blocked by the faucet - very poor attention to design details. The bathroom exhaust fan was terribly noisy, as was the HVAC unit on the wall. The HVAC unit said it was controlled by a wall thermostat but there was no thermostat on the wall. However, other than under the bed, the room was clean and appeared to be newly painted. The TV channel guide in the room was grossly inaccurate. Further, the antenna/cable connection to the TV was loose which caused a problem I had originally attributed to the weather and the entire cable system, but it was just the connection on the back of the TV. The shower water was nowhere near hot enough. My overall impression was of an older economy motel that was in the process of being refurbished but the effort was hampered by both the original architecture and a lack of attention to detail in the renewal. If you are looking for a place to sleep, to shower and to save your money for more important things, this place is OK. If you are looking for someplace with more amenities (e.g., pool, exercise facility, restaurant, bar, etc.), look elsewhere.

Trust me, you will be disappointed!
No cable…Luke warm shower…asked for first floor. Got second. Not even a coffee pot. Owners were nice. Wound not go again.

This place was disgusting. The shower was filthy and strained. The walls had dirty streaks down them. The window in the bathroom to outside was broken and looked like someone tried to break in. I did not feel safe. The whole room smelled terrible and the ceiling had water stains. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you are homeless and need somewhere to sleep other than on the streets. Avoid this hotel.

This was an excellent choice! The service was great, the room was very comfortable and met every need. It is quiet and convenient for Uber and not too far from some great night life. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Connecticut!

There was no one there when we got there at 1045 which I guess is understandable bc we got there late due to traffic and awful weather but our key was accessible to any Tom Dick or Harry that wanted to get in to any room and when we finally got to our room it wreaked of mold. We didn’t even stay we turned right around and left.

Let’s just say we were taken aback when we opened the door to our room. First it took about10-15 minutes to find front desk help and then the room smelled was dingy and we couldn’t or wouldn’t put our feet near the moldy shower stall. The pictures were very deceiving. Won’t be back!!!!

Great location, easy, clean, and relaxing. Not fancy and it’s not supposed to be! It was perfect for a quick affordable overnight on our trip to the sea!

We didn’t even stay. There was a roach in the room so we left and they wouldn’t even give me a refund!! The place is disgusting!

Worst Hotel Ever
Everything was terrible the condition of the hotel is horrible. Broken tiles in the bathroom we almost cut our feet. The shower was so dirty had to put towels down on the floor didn't want to put our feet on them. Front desk clerk didn't speak English and didn't use the right credit card to charge the room. We will never stay there again.

Issues; Gazebo is falling apart & has tarp over it, room was filthy, not even a clean toilet, there was something red stuck to the bathroom faucet, exposed wires on the wall, ceiling chipping, toilet sitting in the back yard could see it from room window, no room phone to call front desk, door look like someone tried to break in previously (wood pooled away by door knob). Also white stains on the chair (who knows what that was). I could go on and on, but I think this say’s enough.

Whenever I plan to travel to Stonington CT, my first choice is always Americas Best Value Inn. The hotel’s location and recent upgrades are my reason to stay. You can pay alot more at area hotels but if its just a short trip, I like to save the money. The staff is friendly and kind. The property manager, Peter lundstedt is always available if needed

An expensive area to visit, spend the money for better overpriced properties. Ours had a particular "off" odor that made our stay fairly awful, the property was ramshackle and should command $90 max anywhere else.

Do not stay here.
Hotel staff was very rude. Complained about a large “bug” in our room and staff said we carried it from home. Would not recommend and will never stay again.
