Hidden Gem
The Hobble Inn was the perfect place for our Mother/Daughter getaway to Stowe. Quiet area within close walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very clean and the breakfasts were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hobble Inn, it is truly a lovely B&B! Mary was a fantstic host and was so friendly to chat with and gave good reccomendations on local things to do and places to eat. The house itself is beautiful. I stayed in the single room downstairs. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a nice quiet night's sleep. The best thing about my stay was the breakfast in the morning. Mary made french toast waffels with local maple syrup and bacon. Declicous! The location was great, just a 2 min walk to the centre of Stowe. It was an authntic experience staying here, so much nicer than a hotel.

Great weekend getaway
Only a block from the towncenter of Stowe. Toto washlet toilet and amazing morning breakfast are the highlights of my stay plus Mary being a wonderful host.

Hobble Inn is very cozy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is an easy walk to the town of Stowe. I wish I had known my room had a shared bathroom.

Cramped Air B & B type set-up
The hosts were extremely nice but the fact of the matter was we were in the owners back bedroom. Cramped low ceiling back bedroom and could have been sharing one bathroom with boarders in two other rooms. Thought it was a proper bed and breakfast and instead we were in someone’s cramped home

Stayed in the Loft, which is a separate unit with private entrance. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Lovely hostess.

A cozy and sweet home, with the most delicious breakfast. The house is laid out so the rooms feel very private, and there is ample common areas for guest use. Best of all, within 5 minutes of the center of Stowe, walking access to shops and restaurants.

The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. She made you feel as if the Inn was your home. Great location within walking distance to Stowe Village which has great restaurants and shopping.

What a great find
I needed a place to stay in order to get an early start skiing. The Hobble Inn is in a great location only 6 miles from the mountain tucked away on a quiet street in town. Its warm and comfortable. The following morning I enjoyed a a very tasty breakfast that made a great start to the day. Highly recommended!!!

Delightful Bed and Breakfast
Mary made me feel welcome and cared for from the minute of my arrival until I left the next morning. Her manner is kind without being intrusive, and her home is spacious. clean, and comfortable. My fellow guests were friendly and interesting: so interesting, in fact, that I lingered over our delicious breakfast for an extra hour before I made my farewells and resumed my journey.

Nice B&B close to Stowe Center
Hostess was great - friendly, thoughtful and provided a lot of information as well as delicious breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere and meeting other travellers with similar interests!

Hobble Inn - great B&B
I had a great weekend in Stowe, Vermont and really enjoyed the hospitality of the Hobble Inn. Mary was a very warm and welcoming host and cooked us up an awesome breakfast each morning. I would definitely stay at this B&B again.

Mary is a wonderful hostess. She gave great advice about local events and scenic attractions available. It was nice to have a homemade breakfast in the morning. Her home is very welcoming with porches and indoor seating areas to relax in. It is also a very short walk from the main street in town and the Stowe Rec Path.

Friendly and Accommodating B&B
A lovely older home in the beautiful resort town of Stowe, VT. Host Mary Skelton was very friendly and accommodating, letting us use her washer and dryer to catch up on laundry during a long road trip and providing lots of conversation and a wonderful "signature" breakfast. Even though we were there only one night, our stay was memorable. We hope to return some day.

Perfect!
This is a beautifully restored historic home in Stowe. I was there for a conference and wanted to stay in town. The innkeeper was amazingly helpful as were her breakfasts. I travel a lot, but this is one I will always remember fondly!

Great and personal stay downtown
Wonderful people hosting you in their house creating a personal and very relaxing atmosphere. The Breakfast was cooked for me on my own schedule and they were very considerate and flexible throughout the entire stay. Definitely worth it.

A Classic B&B with an Unforgettable Hostess
If you want to be isolated a modern hotel, don't come here. But if you want to be loved and cared for in an unforgettable way, this is what you always imagined about an authentic B&B. Limiting herself to no more than two guest families at a time, Mary made us feel very special. The breakfast was customized and great. Yes, the facilities are definitely not perfect, but its all part of the ambiance of a home built over a century ago, with modern kitchen.

Good Location, Great Staff
Having never stayed at a B&B, I wasn't sure what to expect. The proprietor (Mary) welcomed me upon arrival and I instantly felt at home. The accommodations were very nice and the conversation with Mary was even better. The location was very convenient, only a short walk to historic Main Street. Due to a family comittment, I had to cut my visit short but Mary was very flexible and accommodating of my schedule change, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious! Home made yogurt & French toast waffles were very much enjoyed. I would recommend the Hobble Inn to anyone looking to stay in Stowe but feel like they are at home.

If you are looking for a place that is, not only within a few minutes drive to Stowe Ski Resort and right at the edge of historic Stowe Village, but is also a unique experience as far as hotels/inns go,  Hobble Inn will not disappoint. It is essentially a village farmhouse that, while retaining it's historic charm, has been updated to include top notch modern amenities. After a day of skiing, there is something special about coming back to a warm, welcoming, immaculately kept, homey inn run by Mary - the most wonderfully gracious and attentive host. Homemade cookies upon arrival, a full delicious breakfast, and a glass of wine with converastion at the end of the day with Mary makes this place not only more pleasant, but truly exceptional.

Hyggeligt B&B med god vært og dejlig morgenmad
Et rigtig dejligt sted i hjertet af Stowe. Ligger tæt på både indkøb og byens små butikker, så det er muligt at komme rundt uden bil. God vært som var meget hjælpsom og vidste en masse om området, hvilket gjorde hele oplevelse endnu bedre.

Felt like home
The inn is a home and the innkeeper is the owner who takes great pride in making guests feel at home! Personalized service abounds at every turn! Good recommendations about where to eat and what to do in the area. Breakfast was wonderful! She goes above and beyond for guests!

Close to town center, wonderful stay
Went 5/2016 for a girls weekend. Room is comfortable and very clean. Bathroom in the hall, also spotless. Mary is very informative and accessible and makes a great breakfast. Walked to restaurants and recreational trail. Highly recommend.
