I had an excellent stay. The hotel was perfect for one person. The room was clean, the breakfast was satisfactory, and the staff were friendly and excellent. I would happily stay here again.

This was a nice place to stay with parking right next-door and very easy entry. No issues whatsoever with not having a front desk. I did have to message a couple of times because I didn’t get the info email with door code early enough in my opinion. After messaging an hour before check-in time, I did receive it, but I feel like that system was a little glitchy. Room was great, stayed with a friend, so one of us had the pullout, and one of us had the bed. Everything was clean and worked well. Location was excellent. Parking is an extra $20 just so you know before booking.
It was such a unique experience. Lovely hotel very well kept. It was like going back in time. Central location, very close to the Avon theatre. The hotel personnel was so helpful in getting us settled in. I would definitely stay there again!
Downtown location. Close to shops and restaurants.

Good location and parking (extra cost). Small room and tiny bathroom. Next to noisy street. Had to walk several minutes to a sister hotel for a very sub-standard continental breakfast. Entry door keypad invisible at night without the help of a smartphone flashlight. Noisy window heating/cooling unit that would not heat. Gas fireplace was not operational in mid-September. No front desk. You're on your own. No elevator to second floor.
Property was spotless, room and bathroom are small but have everything you need.
Good selection for breakfast and snacks available in the lobby.
Great parking and a short walk to all Stratford has to offer.
Sat in the garden with my glass of wine, felt like a French bistro
Excellent location, shops and restaurants right around the corner, theaters nearby. Simple but nice breakfast. Friendly staff, although not always easy to find as they don't have a front desk but rely on texting. Parking next to building.
The members of staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and the room was ready for us. We needed to store luggage after checking out and they were happy to help. A great experience!
The room was very clean. My wife and I were worried about the street noise as the hotel is on a main street. But after 11:00 it was fairly quiet. No problem sleeping. An enjoyable night.

Our suite was well laid out but carpet needed a good cleaning. Only one of our bathrooms had hot water.
Great location
Location was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Furniture, bathrooms & wood floors were clean. However, the area rug was in dire need of steam cleaning. The window blinds are not wide enough and flat enough to block early morning light. Check-in was abysmal. I completed the online registration days before going. Other vendors have always sent me the check-in information before I leave home with advice that the access code would not work until 3 pm. However, Stratford Hotel will only provide access codes after the room is cleaned and they insist on sending the access code in an email though I asked for it to be sent it to me in a text. It sometimes takes hours or even days for emails to appear in my iphone inbox, so an email wouldn't work for me. We phoned Stratford Hotel who said they would arrange for someone to meet us at the hotel when we arrived. At the hotel, nobody met us. We managed to get the attention of someone who worked there eventually who viewed my photo id and gave us the information we needed so we could access our room after we returned from our afternoon "Guys and Dolls" show.

The Stratford Hotel is in an attractive, historically interesting and ideally located building. Our suite was uninspiring looking but perfectly adequate. It faced Erie Street (Highway 7), the traffic on which was sometimes quite noisy. The complimentary continental breakfast was the most minimal I've ever seen. (The Parlour Inn and Features both offer good breakfasts nearby.) Remains of prior guests' snacks under the couch. No iron in the room, but there was a steamer (which didn't work).
Cute little old fashioned room. Super clean. Tiny little bathroom but no issues with it.
Patio out front was nice spot to have our glass of wine before dinner. Beds were perfect.
Fireplace can probably have the pilot light turned off now to reduce the heat load on the room.
Continental Breakfast looked delicious. Bagels and yogurt.
Beverages and water in room was appreciated.
Little boutique hotels are a favourite.
Check in Staff was super helpful getting us settled.
My coffee service did not work. I reported it to Mya, but it was not addressed.
It took several minutes for the water to get warm enough to take a shower, maybe 5? And then it was just luke warm. My husband took a shower after me, and he said it was very warm.
Parking was appreciated and the location is great.
About the hotel itself, I have nothing but good things to say. Despite there being no front/receptionist desk (you have to contact their sister Hotel The Windsor Hotel) and no actual keys (both the hotel door and the room doors use numerical button plates with a code to or each provided when you check in), the rooms are quite comfortable and large enough to move around in; my own room could have accommodated two (a four-poster bed and a sofa bed). The hotel itself is walking distance from all three theaters and the downtown shopping/restaurant area, there is a large parking immediately next door, and despite it bring located on a major two-way street I personally was never disturbed by any noise whatsoever. The continental breakfast was quite good, with the food left for the guests to serve themselves.
All in all, a very good place for singles or couples to stay at.

Staff are nice and helpful. But property is too warm, no way to turn down the heat.
