Nice hotel, lovely bathroom and very clean simple room. Everything was great, and would happily stay there again. However, the pillows are the worst pillows I've ever had in a hotel. Thin, solid and lumpy. I asked for another one for both of us, but they only had 1 extra left. The extra made it too much, I ended up using my towel to prop up my pillow!

I stayed in the hotel 1 night, the hotel itself is big and well maintained, the staff are helpful and courteous. Beds aren't very comfortable( maybe because it was the separate pull out single bed). For a room where there is booking for 3 people if you put only 2 cups , 2 glasses and 2 tea bags it doesn't give a great impression on your customer. Parking charges- 12 pounds for 24 hours also stings a bit The best thing is the location right next to the high street and the river.

There was no hair dryer, no bedside lamps the bathroom mouldy, we were moved better room but still needed a damn good clean! Paint on headboard, dusty lights etc. dated and dirty! Would not go again ever! They also used to house illegal migrabts maybe that’s why the place is a dump! Parking £12 for 24rs!

This hotel was booked at the last minute and what a good gind it was. Parking on site. Friendly staff to welcome you at reception. Great breakfast. Easy walk into the town center. The room was clean and tidy, with sufficient tea and coffee. I have only given it 4 out of 5 rather than 5 for the following reasons. No bedside/reading lights, and also no ability to turn the main lights out from your bed. It may have been just our room, but there shower was rather lacking a bit of pressure. Despite all of this, if I was visiting Stratford-upon-Avon again I would consider booking this hotel again

Value of money

Very walkable to the town center, but is in a relatively quite location. Room was large for solo traveler, room was clean but there was moulds on the bedsheet which was very disappointing. Breakfast was ok

N:A to pets. Shops nearby The room was clean but it needs a very big refurb-the bathroom was dreadful in all areas. The room carpet had stains and burns, the light fittings were hanging out of their sockets. Wall sockets were fitted uneven. The tv remote back casing was missing. There was no bin. The curtains need to be blackout as the outside light shone through. There was a squashed bug on the ceiling. The pillows had no filling.

Good for a city centre stay at a reasonable price

Very quick stay at this hotel as we were visiting the theatre. Beds big and comfy, up to date tv kettle and mugs and shower gell /soap included Rooms nicely decorated and spacious for the money. Its an older hotel so has a few knocks and scratches. The ground floor recently renovated with smart decor chairs tables etc. We didn't eat so can't comment on food but believe that it was continental only. Great location for the town and reasonable prices.

Nothing special about the hotel. The building is dated, strugfled to close windows. Biggest challenge is nonrampa for push chairs especially if you have room in the lower wing, you need to go up a flight of stairs and come down another flight to a different part of the building. The breakfast was nice.

clean room and walking distance to the main markets and streets. Staff were polite and friendly where needed. Special mention (I cannot remember her name!) but injured my foot and needed an extra pillow to elevate my foot, which wasn’t available, but the lady at reception was quick to suggest an alternative of using towels to help elevate my foot. 10/10 👍 would stay here again!

Staff very friendly but unfortunately not enough to make us ever want to stay again. Room was filthy and had to ask it to be hoovered when checked in. Smelt really funny, hair in the bathroom so doubt it had been cleaned at all! Then they charged me 25 pound cleaning fee for the dog. The dog was cleaner than the room to start with! Overall appalling experience

It was an overall okay experience, but they don’t reply to their emails. They don’t reply to their Expedia messages as well. I find it weird. Also, the drawer we had in our room had crumbs from another guest.

Awful. Aircon didn’t work and the window only opened a crack. Was reported but just got a stock response and no follow up. Beds were awful, sheets dirty, cleaners just basically half-straightened the sheets and stepped over the dirty towels leaving them. Furniture was broken, torn, cracked. No water pressure so a trickle of a shower, huddled behind a dirty shower curtain. An awful hotel.

The hotel was not ready for guests. More of a ‘work in progress’. The rooms were under furnished, for example, no lamps by the bed. No hair dryer etc. the bathrooms were old and stained and we had to climb in and out of a bath to use the shower. I had rung the hotel in advance to say my 89 year old mother needed a room without mounting stairs and they gave her a room where she had to climb in the bath! We should have been warned that it was under new management and wasn’t completely ready for guests. The pictures of the rooms online made it look like a luxury hotel and the price per room also suggested luxury. It was definitely not worth the high price I was charged. I feel very disappointed. The staff were very nice but were unable to reallocate my mum to a room with a walk-in shower.

This hotel has recently reopened after a long closure and, as a result, is suffering a few teething problems. However, the staff are wonderful. They were helpful whenever we requested anything, extremely welcoming and very friendly. The teething issues meant we had to request a few things for our room such as bins! However, this would not put us off staying again. And the fact that the staff were trying so hard to please guests is a huge point in its favour.

Could be better, could be worse….

The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed. Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state of the silicone. It cost £70 for the night (excl parking), if I’d have paid much more I wouldn’t be happy. Reception staff friendly and welcoming.

Very good trip

Overall it was a lovely experience . Staff was ok and bar service was really good . Beautiful place very family friendly . Only issue is the parking which I had to pay for extra while on their website it is not highlighted there.

Where do I start?! There is absolutely no way that this hotel is a 4 star, if it was up to me it would be a 2.. if that. The car park is tiny, when I arrived there was no spaces so had to park at another one near by. When I checked into my room it not only absolutely stank of sick but it looked NOTHING like that photos. I booked a premium double room and the bed didn’t even have a headboard. The bathroom was so dated (all photos show new modern bathrooms) the carpets and walls were stained as well. I couldn’t stay in the room for more than 5 minutes because of the smell of sick. I complained and got changed to another room which is supposed to be a “upgrade” the only difference was the fact that the bed had a headboard and the bathroom was more updated. That evening we went to find their restaurant which we found that they don’t have!! Even though on their amenities on Expedia it says they do. When I got to my room that night was the hottest room I have ever slept in. It had a tiny window that did nothing, I was sweating buckets all night had about 1 hours sleep. Called reception 5 times to ask for a fan and no one picked up. I stay in different hotels 5 nights a week and this is by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Will never be staying here again!! DO NOT RECOMMEND
