โGreat location. Near the free streetcar that will take you to the city market on the the north end of the line to Union Station and Crown Center on the other end (beginning in a couple of months it will reach the Plaza). Great eats at the hotel and in the area, The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Dine at the Savoy Grill - if you can, sit in the same booth Harry Truman used to use when he ate at the Savoy. โ
โThis is such a great place. Tucked away down a quiet road near Cherry, the directions can be a little misleading as you actually park down an alleyway off of McGee Trafficway. But it is easy enough to find. Absolutely stunning design and being able to self check in is great.
Walkable to breakfast and coffee, bars, and fine dining. I felt safe traveling solo and loved the ammenities. Just don't bring back your leftovers as there is no minifridge in the room. I am already booking my next trip...
โWe loved the No Vacancy. Our room was individually decorated, the parlor area was relaxing and loved the bar with it's Wednesday night, very diverse salsa dancers. The bar tenders were so friendly and led us to a jazz bar for some Kansas City Jazz. We just may return.....โ
โBeautiful historic property. If you like historical hotels this is nice one. Staff was, without exception very good. I gave 4 stars because of the age and wear, which is to be expected, but might bother travelers who prefer newer properties. Great blackout curtains. The hotel bar was good.โ

โVictor, Sheena, and Que were VERY knowledgeable and addressed a miscommunication that was initiated on the Expedia side of the reservation. They took approximately 20-30 minutes including a phone call from Expedia to locate my reservation. They upgraded us to an Executive Suite at no additional fees for the delay. What a GREAT TEAM! This was my second stay at this location and it will not be the last!โ
