This is a great location if you’re going to an away game at Ipswich Town Football club. The hotel is great - pretty similar to a Hampton by Hilton in format and style. It’s just over the Bobby Robson bridge so an easy walk to the ground or the town and a slightly longer walk along the tow path to the Marina area. Staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Food is good. I ate there for an evening meal and it was freshly cooked and tasty. On site parking so we left the car there for the match and then walked back after the game. I’d definitely stay there again (but Ipswich is a long way from the Boro for an away game) UTB!!

This is an obviously well run hotel with first impressions catered for. The staff are all pleasant and welcoming and the room well laid out with plenty of room to breathe. The air conditioning worked well and more importantly was quiet in its operation. Close to the main station and just a short walk to town. The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of hot and cold food. The evening meal, though expensive, was excellent and a good portion was given. All in all an excellent place to stay.

They allow you to leave a case before or after you check out, for a couple of hours. The Travelodge suddenly stopped allowing this, so this hotel is much better for ITFC fans who don’t have a car in which to lock luggage. The breakfast is better too, although they could do with an extra coffee machine for peak times. They allowed me to check in early, which was great.
