Sunset Beach Tours

You cannot beat the location of this hotel! It’s perfect home base. But be aware it is BASIC. There are literally zero amenities. It’s a place to crash, but you shouldn’t be in the room much in nyc anyway! And when you are, it should be clean and I can attest this hotel was very clean. This hotel is for when your budget is on a budget. But it was great for us and we would stay again.

The hotel was nice and room was clean. The employees were friendly. I could never get the main shower head to work, so had to use the small hand-held nozzle. It was also surprising that there wasn't anything complimentary in the lobby, like a big water dispenser. It was 100 degress outside and the only water that wasn't for purchase was a water fountain in the basement gym. A few inexpensive changes could make this place feel much more welcoming. Also, during breakfast hours, one elevator is reserved only for guests that are dining there. It made the wait to get on the elevator 10 minutes, then it stopped on EVERY floor only for guests to find it too full to get on, so the ride down took another 5-10 minutes. People kept cramming on, far exceeding the capacity posted on the wall and I had to get off and take the stairs. Overall, it's a nice place, but nothing special. I would try a different one next time.

I am disappointed. I was organizing my bags and realized that items and belongings were missing, such as 4 empty bags and a bag containing a T-shirt and three reading glasses. This had never happened to me before, and so far no one has given me any explanation about what happened. I am Waiting for an answer.
