"Overall a great hotel At my visit the pool was closed for maintenance. There was an issue with the drain in the tub water draining out very slow causing tub to fill with bath water I stayed on the 4th floor so that shouldn't have been an issue. Also the snack machine on 4th floor was out of order I reported it but when I left it was still down Regard"

"Upon check we went to our room and everything in it was flipped literally mattress on the wall chairs flipped over and a white substance in the floor I didn’t even put my foot through the door we went back down and the receptionist was very helpful and immediately switched us to another room and when we went to it there was already a couple occupying that room we went back down for the the third time and got another room and it was very run down not clean and the air did not work but seeing as how we were staying there only a few hours due to going to the hospital very early the next morning we just went in and stayed but if given the option would never return and definitely do not recommend anyone to stay at this property"

"The hotel advertised breakfast, but it became apparent that it was a made-to-order service available at an additional charge, which I was perfectly fine with. However, the area was consistently unattended, with little to no staff presence behind the bar or serving area. It also appeared poorly stocked with both food and beverages, and during my two-day stay, it never seemed operational. Ultimately, I chose not to bother with it and went elsewhere for breakfast instead. The elevators were also in poor condition, with the doors forcefully slamming open and shut. While I did not expect the pool to be open in April, the condition of the pool area was unacceptable. Half of the pool was covered by a tarp, the water was brown, and the entire area appeared neglected and unsanitary. Unfortunately, this was directly visible from my patio window and created a very unpleasant view. Additionally, the second floor strongly smelled of marijuana throughout my stay."

"The Wydam hotel is old. Frank Fletcher, the franchisee has updated the lobby and rooms. The best treat was the head omelet maker and the breakfast staff. The hot breakfast was a nice treat. The room had no running water due to repairs taking place. The front desk did not tell us. We discovered it after using the bathroom and having no water to wash my hands. We asked for hand sanitizer and the front desk told us we could use the large bottle on the front desk. Just imagine all the guests touching the door knows and elevator buttons with those dirty hands. We were told the water would be back on in a few hours. The next morning we discovered there was no hot water for our showers. The staff was not prepared to address this second issue, telling us the manager would be in at 9. We would have wanted the staff to let us know because we do not want to stay in a potential germ infested hotel. We were given a 25% discount but the stay should have been comped. The hotel should have found us rooms at a nearby hotel. The staff took no responsibility to ensure the rooms were habitable. It seems like this would be a guest safety violation. I would have rated the hotel terrible except I chose poor because the breakfast team worked so hard to improve our experience at the Wydam."

"They are currently renovating which is mentioned on the website, however we were put on the floor by rooms that were being worked on. 8:00 am drill alarm followed by hammer and music. I feel they could have put us in a different or different floor. The hotel is rich with history so that's a cool factor. The breakfast was good."
